Amazing place given the lack of funds. Dedicated historians and pilots have preserved and rebuilt early aircraft. If the weather is good, they give you an air show. For a few bucks, they'll take you on a ride. Fun and educational.

There are many great old time aircraft and they have fun shoes to keep everyone entertained.

If you are a fan of early A/C from preWW1 into the 20's and 30's, Rhinebeck will be a very enjoyable visit. Before checking the aerodrome, a visit to the museum and three hangers are first. My husband and I enjoyed our day at the aerodome. The museum, planes and show was excellent. Everyone including little children had a thrill of a lifetime!

As a pilot this is one of my favorite reasons for living in the area. Check their website for all the details and in summer *do* take the ride in the biplane--it is totally worth the 50 bucks for a great flying experience. Ask the pilot and he'll fly round your house.

The silly skits are the same. What disappointed us was that many of the planes couldn't take flight because of the wind conditioners. Understandable...

We had a very enjoyable day in the area, beginning with breakfast at Bread Alone in Rhinebeck and attending the Rhinebeck Antique show. The Aerodrome is not to be missed! My husband is a pilot and knows a lot about vintage aircraft, so we both enjoyed...

The Aerodrome is nice place to visit even you are not aviation buff. There are a lot of very rare and unique aircraft ranging from planes of the early 1910’s to World War 1. But this is not your typical museum with only static displays. Every weekend during late spring and summer they have an airshow in which a number...

I loved it, and more importantly so did my Wife. Neither of us love roller-coasters, and she simply won't go on one. This was so easy, and what a thrill. Yes, you wear a leather helmet with goggles and are exposed. It's not cold, or scary; it's simply an experience not to be missed when exploring the Aerodrome, its Museum,...
