Wow what these guys can do, scary! Kids will love it and you will too. Pre WW1 planes that still fly. WOW. Plan a trip and stay overnight do you have a full day there. A lot of fun.

A coworker urged me to visit Old Rhinebeck for many years. Finally, I took the opportunity. While some aspects of the airdrome are a little rough around the edges, it is an experience any aviation enthusiast should not pass up. I cannot say enough about the airshow presented on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in early October. I have read about... More

Step into the wayback machine to a time of those daring young men and their flying machines, and of small town hokeyness that makes you smile. There was a mixture of early twentieth century aeroplanes, some dating back to 1909. The pilots and ground crew were dressed in period garb, and the master of ceremonies, perched atop a tower, provided... More

As well as an aircraft museum, containing very rare types, Old Rheinbeck also stages air displays every weekend from the Spring until mid October. The Saturday show is aimed more at the enthusiast, while the Sunday show is pure family entertainment, with good guys, bad guys, explosions, car chases and girls falling out of aeroplanes! Oh yes, if you have... More

This was a check off the Old Bucket List. Now where else on Earth can you experience the sights you can here. This is a Great area to visit with Hyde Park near by and the Hudson Valley and West Point with-in 50 miles. But do not overlook this great action packed attraction. You can experience first hand the open... More

World War I and earlier planes fly during the summer on Sat and Sun in GOOD weather. Also some a little older. Small museum. It is amazing to see a 100 yr old plane in the air. Check their website for schedules.

I have to say I visited for the biplane ride. The rest of the facility was great too but I'd never before flown in this type of plane. Helicopters, commercial jets, small commuter airplanes; done that. I wore my GoPro video camera w/headband and carried my professional camera gear too. On a typical flight there is not to much to... If you are into airplanes and the history of them, then this is the place to see. It has a great display of real world war I airplanes on display. The airfield show is fantastic! The pilots do such a great job and the show is also very entertaining! Really loved it!

Take the biplane ride! How many times in a lifetime will this opportunity come up?! Very fun! The museums and old planes, cars and bikes are interesting to view. Some are still in their original state while others are repaired and working. The drive to the aerodrome is remote but a beautiful countryside in NY.
