Our family group of 9 had a terrific time on the Raquette Lake Steam Boat operated by Captain Dean and his family. The staff were very helpful, the scenery outstanding, the food and drinks very good and the atmosphere A+.

We took the Father's Day Prime Rib dinner buffet and it was a wonderful treat! Not only was the weather picture perfect, the food was divine and innovative--horseradish smashed potatoes, sauted vegetables, rosemary-lemon bars--not like many buffets. The tour narration was informative and folksy, the staff welcoming and friendly and the boat clean. It was an overall lovely, tasty evening... More

My family and I took the Raquette Lake dinner cruise and really enjoyed it. The food was top notch , with tomato/cucumber salad, prime rib, chicken, roasted potatoes, fresh fruit, etc . The service was great. Only wish it hadn't been raining.

We visited several years ago on the dinner cruise. It was a fall day and the scenery was gorgeous, but unfortunately it was pouring rain on the day we went, which meant the inside dining area of the boat was really crowded. We were like sardines packed into a can...among people as wet and damp as we were! The food... More

I have spent years around and about in the Adirondack Mountains and never heard of the Racquette Lake Navigation Co. Boy was I missing something really special. This trip was awesome. We took the lunch cruise in August 2013 and we were plesantly surprised. The tour was awesome, the narration was really great and the food was outstanding! I hope... More

Our fourth luncheon cruise with the company, it's a "must do" every time we visit the area. Tours of the lake are beautiful and informative. For the first time this year, the cruise offered was for the Pine Knot Camp Tour owned by SUNY Cortland, a short hike and lunch on the boat. This trip was for the Great Camp... More

So glad you were able to take advantage of that special offering. Pine Knot is not normally open to the public. The director makes available a few tours during the season when we can partner with Sagamore and offer this spectacular homage to the legacy of William West Durant: Great Camp Sagamore tour and/or weekend, Pine Knot tour, St Williams... Sometimes when you live fairly close to a popular attraction it is easy to take it for granted and perhaps not ever experience it at all. Such it was with my wife and I. We have lived here on the southern tip of the Adirondacks for almost 15 years. In that time we had driven past the quaint little settlement... More

Went on the W.W. Durant last night and it could not have possibly been better. The weather, scenery, service and dinner were all equally awesome! When visiting the Adirondack, you MUST put this on your "to do" list!

My sisters and me took my Mom up to the Old Forge area for a girls weekend. This is a great trip for seniors. We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon on Raquette Lake. The ship is a family owned business. So we felt very much at home on the cruise. They made everyone feel welcome and took good care of us.... More
