Everyone from young children to my husband's 92-year old aunt who was visiting us loves this place. It's incredible. You will not regret making this a must-see. It's well-worth a short detour to Pottersville if you are in the Lake-George area. Don't miss it! Highly recommend!

What a great way to start the 2013 Railroads On Parade Season! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! It gives us such pleasure to hear things like this. Everybody here tries so hard to please, so it's especially pleasing to hear from you about how much you enjoyed your visit. That "short detour" starts at Exit 22 on the Adirondack... More

While staying in Lake George, we decided to take a side trip to see Railroads on Parade. Boy, I am glad we did. This was a fascinating train exhibit The displays were amazing. The details given to each layout must have been so time consuming. We stayed and watched the trains for about 2 hours. We wanted to make sure... More

Well layed out - very interesting set up for the train buff. I thought the cost was a little high - I am not a train buff but am local and wanted to see the set up. It is a big deal for pottersville.

This is a good stop before or after visiting Natural Stone Bridge & Caves. We’re not RR buffs, but the exhibit, housed in a 5000 sf area, has many displays of scenery and model trains, and the attention to detail is amazing. So many tiny items can be overlooked if you don’t get close enough! Staff was always on hand... More

Stumbled across this whilst looking for gas. It looks like a shed with not much parking so it's tempting to drive on by, but don't. Give yourselves an hour to see a real train set, two hours if you're an enthusiast. It's the sort of thing you always dreamed you would build in the basement, one day, one day. And... More

Thank you for the wonderful review. It makes us" joyous" too. To to see all the smiling faces and to read all the literally thousands of amazing comments left in our guest comment book is something that keeps us going. I do need to clarify one thing about the terminology in our visitors' review. They were British, and the British... More

This is an incredible display of model trains, scenery and miniatures. These displays were all built by professional set designers and have been part of displays at CitiBank in New York city. It includes 50 trains and trolleys that are moving around layers of sets. At one point in our visit, a little mechanical lifter was not working correctly and... More

Thanks for the wonderful review, and especially thank you for noticing the care we take in keeping everything "Ship-Shape". It takes the entire staff at Railroads plus our staff at Dunham Studios (just up the road where we have created more than fifty museum and private exhibits like this (some smaller but a couple actually larger). It's their dedication that... More

Railroads on Parade was nice to see but not a place I would visit over and over again. $12/person to walk around a single room with 5 different displays. They are very pretty and extremely well detailed but not factually correct. One display was supposed to be set in 1955 but has several businesses and cars in it that were... More

We try, very hard, to please everyone who comes through our doors, and as you can see from our Trip Advisor reviews we are generally very successful. That makes us extremely proud of our efforts. While we understand that everyone is entitled to their own subjective opinion it remains just that, a subjectively arrived at opinion. I do, however, doubt... More

The admission price is way too steep for what you'll find inside. The train layouts are very interesting, but not so much so to qualify the price.

As I've said before, while we hope to please each and every person who comes through our doors it appears that, very occasionally, it doesn't happen. I used to work on Broadway where the inevitability of at least one bad review even for a hit show was a near certainty. We used to call reviews like that "Collie Dog Reviews"-----" I... More

My parents have a vacation house about an hour from Pottersville. I was looking for things to do with kids in the Lake George area and came aross "Railroads on Parades". With two young boys who are crazy about trains, we decided to take a trip here. Pottersville is a VERY small town and there is really not much right... More

"Awesome" is one of the most used comments in our Guest Comment Book here at Railroads, along with "Wow", "Amazing", "Beautiful" and many, many others among the hundred or so pages of glowing comments. Thanks also for your comments about our Gift Shop. We do try to keep it as free of your average "Tourist Stuff" as possible----and people do... More
