I travel to Connecticut a lot and the ferry makes the trip that much nicer. Avoid all that traffic going heading west and just take a relaxing trip on the ferry. Price a little high because they charge per passenger in the car, but money well worth it.

A destination for most travelers to Port Jefferson. The crab legs are very good; however, most of their selection is fried.

If you're staying in CT at the beach, a super way to spend one day is to take the ferry, return as a foot passenger. The trip across Long Island Sound is gorgeous. There is a snacker and a drinks bar on-board. Great Bloody Marys!

Great experience $56 dollars for me and my compact car and 1 hour and 20 minutes ride. Good service on board, refreshments, drinks, and great quiet place to enjoy the ocean and feel the nice win in your face

Announcements are painfully loud over the public address system. Scared young children. No wifi as claimed or cell service. The staff is very good. Service is very reliable. .

I loved this ferry rided that take us and the family across to other side of Ct. Very nice relaxing and comfortable ride. I got ride. Car is very safe. I can bring my dog on board too. They have foods like coffees and sodas, hotdogs, bagels, chips, etc. the stafs are friendly. You got to book the ferry early.

Not cheap, but it beats driving around Long Island Sound. In good weather, it's like a mini-cruise, with sun, breeze and views.
