The park is a great place to walk or just drive through slowly to see the beautiful trees, rolling hills, small ponds, wild life any time of year. They have picnic areas and shelters you can rent from the county of Monroe

This is a very beautiful park that offers many options, such as walking, running, horseback riding and bicycling. Lots of trail options as well. Paths are fairly wide, just be careful to wear proper footwear especially after a rain, as the trails can be very muddy. The walk around the large pond was especially pretty this Fall with all the... This park is unique in that it offers so many things to people with various interests-hiking trails, horseback riding trails, a huge pond to boat in or swim, lots of wildlife and birds, and a bird rehabilitation center for birds of prey. The trails are well kept and marked. There is a custodian on the site. The cabin areas are... More

This is a beautiful area that runners just love. It is great for bicycling as well. Just be careful as there is thru traffic. Maps are deceiving (even Google maps) so be prepared to do a few u-turns.

My friends were married on the grounds of the park with a reception following at the historic Cobblestone house in the park. The venue was amazing with a number of place to have the wedding either on the grounds or in the house. I was sorry I didn't get to discover the park a bit more, because it was just... More

Mendon Ponds has nature trails where you can bird watch and in winter you can cross country ski. This is a destination for many of the kids summer camps in the area. There is a place where you can picnic and go into the larger pond to cool off. The kids will love it. If you have a dog, must... More

Very nice trails made for a great hike on a blustery early winter day. Easily accessible, but not hard to get away from roads and people.

I am fortunate to live near this expansive park and so go often for hiking or picnicking. The trails are terrific although I have tried to taken some of the lesser known trails and have missed the entrance a few times. I've also taken well known trails and branched off to the lesser known trails and that worked out fine.... More

A large, beautiful park with a variety of terrain (ponds, woods, hills and dales) good for all four season. But one our family's favorite activity is feeding the birds from your hand in the middle of the Winter. I recommend this this for children 7 and older who can be patient enough to stand still for 5-10 minutes until the... More
