We went cross-country skiing here this past winter and loved it. Beautifully groomed trails through pristine woods and swamps. Tons of deer everywhere and birds that would eat seed from people's hands and alight on ski poles. Today, the first sunny day in a soggy summer so far, we dripped by on the spur of the moment -- in sandals,... More

Family friendly, all season park that offers great hikes (easy to more difficult) in the spring, summer and fall, and some excellent sledding in the winter. The visitor center, butterfly garden and raptor (Wild Wings) section are all worth visiting. I like the simple walk at the first entrance (from Honeoye), and the meadow is nice too. Families, couples, and... More

Mendon Ponds Park has become a family favorite, especially in the winter. Plenty of hiking and sledding here in the park. All you need to do is get there and drive around. Park where others are for the best spots, eventually you will learn which you prefer. The best thing to do in my family's opinion is to go to... More

We really all and all really really enjoy it all here each time we've come around so far! Awesome trails for every level and glamorously natural! There are flat trails that you can walk, run, or jog on if you are coming here to get some good exercise or maybe go for a hilly several hour walk if you wish... More

So few people use this wonderful Mendon County resource regularly. Oh sure, there are some horseback riders, trail runners, and canoes in summer; the xc ski teams and sledders in winter and the occasional picnics. But for the vast beauty of this park it amazes me how often I can walk its trails and see so few users. Not that... More

The park has a variety if locations to feed the birds, cross country ski, fish, hike, sledding. If your lucky you will see horses on some of the trails, roads ridden by nearby residents. The beach is a nice small spot in the summer where you can hang out with friends or bring little one's. The grassy areas next to... More

I especially like the park in the winter when you can walk the trails and see all kinds of nature. Wild Wings is there and one of the best places to visit. I love to feed the chickadees in the winter.

I love Mendon Ponds. We hike theEast Esker trail frequently it is a hilly trail with many ups and downs. A great workout. It is great for running and it dries out quickly after wet days. It is a challenging run. I also like the gentle run around Quaker Pond and South Medows. Add I the Nature Center for a... More
