My friends were married on the grounds of the park with a reception following at the historic Cobblestone house in the park. The venue was amazing with a number of place to have the wedding either on the grounds or in the house. I was sorry I didn't get to discover the park a bit more, because it was just... More

Mendon Ponds has nature trails where you can bird watch and in winter you can cross country ski. This is a destination for many of the kids summer camps in the area. There is a place where you can picnic and go into the larger pond to cool off. The kids will love it. If you have a dog, must... More

Very nice trails made for a great hike on a blustery early winter day. Easily accessible, but not hard to get away from roads and people.

I am fortunate to live near this expansive park and so go often for hiking or picnicking. The trails are terrific although I have tried to taken some of the lesser known trails and have missed the entrance a few times. I've also taken well known trails and branched off to the lesser known trails and that worked out fine.... More

A large, beautiful park with a variety of terrain (ponds, woods, hills and dales) good for all four season. But one our family's favorite activity is feeding the birds from your hand in the middle of the Winter. I recommend this this for children 7 and older who can be patient enough to stand still for 5-10 minutes until the... More

We went cross-country skiing here this past winter and loved it. Beautifully groomed trails through pristine woods and swamps. Tons of deer everywhere and birds that would eat seed from people's hands and alight on ski poles. Today, the first sunny day in a soggy summer so far, we dripped by on the spur of the moment -- in sandals,... More

Family friendly, all season park that offers great hikes (easy to more difficult) in the spring, summer and fall, and some excellent sledding in the winter. The visitor center, butterfly garden and raptor (Wild Wings) section are all worth visiting. I like the simple walk at the first entrance (from Honeoye), and the meadow is nice too. Families, couples, and... More

Mendon Ponds Park has become a family favorite, especially in the winter. Plenty of hiking and sledding here in the park. All you need to do is get there and drive around. Park where others are for the best spots, eventually you will learn which you prefer. The best thing to do in my family's opinion is to go to... More

We really all and all really really enjoy it all here each time we've come around so far! Awesome trails for every level and glamorously natural! There are flat trails that you can walk, run, or jog on if you are coming here to get some good exercise or maybe go for a hilly several hour walk if you wish... More
