This hatchery is a pretty interesting place to visit, especially if you've spent much time yourself with rod and reel in hand. Constructed in 1933, it is located in the middle of Powder Mills Park, and open year round. It is always fun to walk over and peek in the various long, rectangular pits and see the hatchlings in various... More

Used to go here as a child so I would definitely recommend taking your kids. My dad used to buy me food at one of the machines that sells fish food and I'd spend my time there watching the fish attack the food. Great place

This is a fun little spot to spend a half hour or so. There are always plenty of fish to feed. Food is a quarter for a handful. The fish jump up to get it and often splash a little, adding to the fun. There is a nice short trail into a small woods and an old swing hanging off... More

The fish hatchery is a hidden gem in Powder Mills park. Great for a stroll and to let the kids feed the fish. They have several large tanks were the fish are raised. Our daughter really enjoys feeding the fish and trying to identify the various species they raise.

This is located in Powder Mill Park. It is a favorite of myself and my grandchildren as they love to feed the fish. You can purchase pellets for the fish from the little machines for a quarter. I have five grandchildren so they know they each get one quarter. That is plenty of pellets especially when they like to put... More

Our family used to come to this fish hatchery in Powder Mill Park 50 years ago to see the trout and feed them some food pellets. Nothing has changed. It's still a fun place to see all the different trout and watch them splash out of the water when you throw the pellets into the water. Great spot for kids... More

This is cool to show kids (under 14 yrs). There's several huge concete tanks where they grow fish. Some fish are 2 feet in length. There are food dispensers where you can put in a quarter and get a handfull of pellets to feed the fish. Nice free thing to do with the kids if you're passing through the Victor/Pittsford... More
