During the month of June me and my good friends made our annual visit to the North Fork wine region in Suffolk county, New York. We drove by lots of fruit, vegetable and plant stands. We arrived to our favorite vineyard (Pindar)and live music was playing in a large gazebo . This vineyard allows you to bring your own food.... More

A one-time, must visit place to say you did it. Overcrowded, over priced and nobody cares about wine. Just party and drink in a vineyard. The wine can be found at any Long Island liquor store. We visited 15 years ago and had a wonderful experience with a tour and tasting. The last few times were met with young couples... More

We walked in and were immediately struck by the size of this place. It doesn't feel very personal and the folks doing the tastings don't appear to be really knowledgable or into what they're selling (perhaps because it doesn't taste very good?). While it's probably ok good if you're in a large group and they can accommodate, I have no... More

The wine is great, and like all of the other vineyards, perfect for an afternoon with friends. Prices of wine and less expensive then other surrounding vineyards.

We chose Pindar winery as one of our stops on a mother daughter trip. The staff, especially Matt was very friendly and we did the tasting. The prices were reasonable about 10 dollars for 5 tastes and 7.00 for crackers and cheese. We enjoyed our time inside at a window-side table. The wines were all good, and my mom is... More

Pindar Vineyards is the largest vineyard on the Island, and it shows. I have visited Pindar 3 times, different times of the year, and it is always packed. You have to pay for tasting in advance. Our pourer poured, answered a few questions, then abandoned us to take care of someone else. So we got another pourer who proceeded to... More

I stopped at Pindar on Oct. 4, 2013 to pickup a couple bottles and received a confident recommendation that the Cab and Peacock Chard were drinking very well. I'll keep this review simple by stating that the Cab was like drinking water. Lifeless, no body, etc. The Chard was pretty much in the same category. These are just awful wines... More

This was my third L.I. winery--not in one day. We arrived toward the later side I'd say, 3 pm, there was live music, which was not audible from the deck. There is a large deck - and somehow plenty of seats. Insdie, the tasting room is large for my taste. The prices are not there to gouge you. In fact,... More

I love the wines and the staff is good. I believe that because of the size it seems to not be a homey as others are with a more hospital feel . Still worth the visit if crowed maybe pass to another time.

We stopped at two wineries for tastings for my birthday weekend. My parents really wanted to stop at Pindar because they had a coupon. MISTAKE! They offer coupons for a reason: They have disgusting wines and terrible service. We waited and waited... and waited for them to help us and then once they did we had to wait for what... More
