Pindar Vineyards encompasses more than 500 scenic acres. We grow 17 varieties of grapes, crafting them into some 23 varietals and proprietary blends. We produce 70,000 cases of wine a year, making us the largest vineyard on Long Island. But at heart we are still a family with a personal touch in every aspect of our business.

A Great Place to try a Great Wine

We love to stop at vineyards all over the country and we wanted to stop at one on Long Island and we just happened to pick Pindar upon the recommendation of a family member. It... read more

Was a little tricky to get to, but we aren't from the area, so that is to be expected I suppose. There were lots of wines to try, but we ended up getting a bottle and sitting out under the covered deck on a drizzly day. There was a one man band playing and he was pretty good. The wine... More

Two large and accommodating tasting bars with lots of outdoor space. Competitively priced tastings. Friendly staff.

I visited this establishment with two friends. We are all in the more mature age range and form our arrival I didn't feel that this was anything more than a 'cute' way to pander to the aspiring oenophile. I'm afraid none of the three wines offered was drinkable but for an extra few dollars we able to chose some cheese... More

We love to stop at vineyards all over the country and we wanted to stop at one on Long Island and we just happened to pick Pindar upon the recommendation of a family member. It was a great wine tasting and I'm pleased to say it was great enough we brought a case home to share and sample. Obviously sized... More

pindar was one of the first wineries i have ever been to. Its a nice place and i believe they have like three very long bars that you are able to stand on both sides of. the place is packed and i felt like we were a little rushed, but its a descent place.

This is a great vineyard with lots of selections for every season. Easy to get to on the way to or from the ferry. You can stay and have a wine tasting or simply run in a grab some wine to stock up before your next trip!

I gave it two stars and that was for the outside seating area and band. We tasted 5 wines and I barely even enjoyed one. The bartender was not as friendly to us and that really turned me off. If you bring a nice basket of food and buy a bottle you can truly enjoy the band and sit and... More

My boyfriend and I go the LI wineries a few times a year. We usually do some vineyard hopping but we always end up back at Pindar. The wines are delicious and they have a large variety to choose from, more than any vineyard that I have visited. We usually go into the tasting room and do a tasting then... More

Stopped here while on a wine tour with a friend and I think they may be my second or third favorite winery. I loved there tatsing set up although everything was offered for a fee. I came on a bus trip so we were offered free tastings while everyone else had to pay a fee. You are also able to... More

We had a very nice relaxing day. We started with the wine tasting and our hostess was very nice. Even thou it was crowded our party of seven did not have to wait for a place at the tasting bar. They did not rush us and we ordered cheese and crackers. When we were done with the tasting, bottles of... More
