We heard about Rock City and decided to check it out one Saturday morning in the summer. We got there early and were the only ones there. We walked on the trails and wondered at the rock formations, which are so awesome and huge! It is great for the whole family, but make sure that you are watching younger and... More

I love Rock City Park! I have visited twice and would definitely go back again. Fun place with the family or just for a relaxing day by yourself. Cute little gift shop there also.

A lot of big rocks. Pretty cool. For the time and money spent I would rather hike around the allegheny national forest. At least now I know what is there. Driven by it many times and never stopped. Now at least I can say I have been there.

I somewhat expected a state park atmosphere. This is a private park and, as such, it's a little less than I anticipated. The park entrance is through a building that sells lots of rocks and knick-knacks. I hoped to find remnants of the park's 1900s era, but the Bon Air Hotel was torn down in 1926, so there is nothing... More

We've gone there several times and I always see something different. The last time we were there they had the gem & fossil show, could spend a lot of $$$ buying those beautiful gems/rocks & fossils! Loved it! The trail isn't for the faint of heart since there are several areas where it's close quarters or rather steep if you... More

Trails among really cool rock formations and a fun souvenir shop. Some aspects of Rock City, such as the humor, will strike you as quaint and old-fashioned or hokey, depending on your taste. Check out the bathroom. You will never see a john so full of decorations--taxidermied animals, knicknacks, posters, humor. My kids (ages 6-12) enjoyed this stop. It broke... More

As a child I visited Rock City and loved climbing on the rocks, following the trails and enjoying the outside. This is one of those places that offers layers of appreciation. As an adult, I am entranced with the images of the layers of rock, the formations, the greenery and the quiet of the air. I have never attended a... More
