Beautiful place to take a hike for a couple of hours. Not too strenuous. They even allow dogs! I would not recommend the hike for small children. There are deep crevasses and areas where children could get hurt.

I took my children on a day trip here and it is a great natural place to discover what nature has to offer! These rocks are so huge and an amazing sight to see. You need to stay on the path and wear sneakers, you are walking in nature after all!

I am certain this place has seen better days. The welcome centre and trail could certainly use some upkeep. Having said that, it is well worth the stop for only $5 and an hour long walk among the massive rocks. I recommend.

We recently went to Rock City Park. This is a few hours from our home and a nice day trip. This is a great place to bring kids for some hiking and a picnic. Our grandkids are 7 and 14 and they had a blast. We went late morning and finished with a picnic. Such a fun family outing. I... More

I grew up about an hour from Olean and had never heard of Rock City Park before. While planning a trip to visit family and friends, I came across info about this place and added it to the list of things to do. I'm glad a did as my family and I enjoyed visiting this park. Neat area to go... More

Brave the iron steps down to a geologic wonderland with a varied and interesting history. Entrance is off Route 16 So. out of Olean, NY. While I was there, construction detours were confusing but do not allow that to keep you from visiting. A museum of eclectic items and a video tour runs continuously for those not physically capable of... More

I lived in this area many years before actually going here. It is a bit of a misnomer in that it is not a "city" at all, but rather a geological reserve of very interesting and huge rock formations left from the ice age period. Many of the formations have names. You get to walk on small paths over very... More

This park is an excellent place to get some fresh air and conect with nature. Take your time look listen and be respectful. The cost is very reasonable and the staff is out going and friendly.
