Great theater with an awesome retro look. A must see when visiting Old Forge. Lots of memorabilia, friendly service, and great popcorn.

The Strand is a museum as well as a theater. Be sure to take the time to at least visit the lobby and it's displays. However, seeing a movie here is a unique experience and you're supporting a local landmark which is marvelously being restored and is a community asset to be sure. Fun place!

This throw-back in time is a real gem for the community and visitors to Old Forge. I love the eclectic colors that decorate all the walls, and the hallway filled with all types of cameras old and new, this theater is truly one-of-a-kind. The owners Bob and Helen are the most welcoming people and I enjoy supporting them. They now... More

We were entertained before we even got into the theatre to see Mr Holmes. You'll be mesmerized too if you like movie film history. Plus, before you leave check out the hundred or so movie posters as well. The larger than it looks multi-room theatre can show up to 4 movies at once. Not for the claustrophobic types though cause... We have been here many times over the years and always find the lobby to be interesting. I like going here because it is never crowded and the theatre's are small and comfortable. They always have the top movies showing and is a nice place to go if the weather is bad.

Love the old feel of the place! Tickets are inexpensive and my son loves Noah the usher dog!!!! The most fun we have had at a movie.

This is the best movie theater, bar none. The owners are so amiable, the dog is even nice. Have been going here for decades. Don't miss it.

My family loves The Strand in Old Forge. We recently enjoyed the movie Unbroken there. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is retro. As dog lovers, we especially enjoy the resident dog- a cute Siberian Husky. As theater patrons file out, this sweet dog files in to enjoy the popcorn that has been dropped on the floor. It is... It has it's own little museum of film. Wonderful enthusiastic owners. New up todate films. A alternative choice of entertainment from the usual mountain offerings.
