Took the ski lift up. The view is beautiful. Snapped a few photos. Went on a short hike on the trail and took the ski lift back down.

We took the gondola up and hiked down! With great views, perfect weather, and good company - the hike down McCauley Mountain was a great way to spend the day. I'd love to go back and hike up as well!

We enjoyed the ride but unfortunately we were about 2 weeks too late for the good colors of fall. We did get some good pictures though and it was a beautiful day in Old Forge.

We had a quite picnic at the bottom of the mountain . we usually take the lift to the top but decided to try something different, to our surprise there is an entire trail system on the opposite side near the parking lot. Old ski trails lead around a lake and well marked trails lead to a couple "surprises" located... More

Well worth the trip up the mountain. Pack a picnic lunch or snack you won't want to come back down the mountain.

Opens @ 9:30 am and the mid early morning is best to go bc the line get's long quick. BUT all worth the wait. The Last weekend in September is usally peak season for the trees and WOW! It was amazing. Bring a lunch and enjoy the views, maybe check for the wind first LOL.

I am not a skier, but I always ride the chairlift to enjoy the view in the Summer. Well worth the inexpensive charge for the ride! Take a picnic lunch up and soak in the vistas.

We rode the chair lift to the top of McCauley Mountain on a gorgeous fall day. The views were spectacular. There are nice Adirondack chairs on top that you can sit in awhile, and also a few picnic tables if you want to eat lunch up top.

We held our wedding on top of McCauley Mountain and the staff that assisted some of the elderly guests were wonderful. They added a helping hand and they ensured the group was accommodated together. It was a perfect spot for a wedding -- with a spectacular backdrop...something we'll remember forever.
