This is a beautiful museum inside and out. The docents were phenomenal. every one of them! I never knew how much I did not know about Remington and his work. If you want to see a lot of Remington, learn how he created his techniques, witness the evolution of his art, then this is definitely worth a drive.

Lots of paintings and sculptures to look at, and not just Remington. Great history about Remington as well. Staff are very knowledgeable on all the artists displayed and are happy to share that knowledge. Beautiful location by the water.

Ogdensburg's shining glory! The Art Museum is well run, beautifully maintained and offers extensive works of Remington, both sculptural and paintings. I always take visitors there!

Great reception and extremely informative intro to the Museum (Dave? - sorry if we got the name wrong). Since we collect repro Remington's it was nice to see that we had some really collectable sculptures. When the Canadian dollar is closer to par we will revisit to purchase one or more of the gift shop reproductions.

I remember the Remington as a child prior to the museum selling off its native American clothing and other artifacts to the Cody Museum in Wyoming. However, the sale coupled with donations provided the funds to erect a new wing that is environmentally safe for the paintings and other artworks on display. This upgrade was sorely needed and the results... More

I loved the beautiful house that this museum makes it home in! There were many of Remington's famous bronzes to take in and a well done history of the man and his art. Well worth the stop, and I even picked up a lovely necklace in the gift shop!!

One gets to see most of his works and get to know the character of the man. The mansion it is housed i in is spectacular. Period decor. His works are the best. Nice gift shop and very friendly staff.
