Oia

Oia is beautiful. A must see destination in Santorini, Greece. The sunset was amazing and there are many great places to have dinner in the area.

Sunset point is indeed the perfect spot to take good sunset pictures of the side of Oia with the windmill. It is just a few minutes walk from the town center. If you want a good spot to set up your tripod, you should be there way before sunset because the crowd thickens as the sun goes down. Most of... More

We stumbled unto this place after watching a beautiful sunset from the steps. So glad we did! We sat right on the water and ate like royalty! Grilled octopus, fried zucchini with tzaiki sauce, grilled fish (sorry, can't remember the name), mussels in white sauce, seared cuttlefish and a liter of the house white. Damn good, and less than $100€.... More

quite nice just to sit and stare at this lovely sun on it's way to hiding from the blanket of water. In the area, you will find restaurants to wine & dine while seeing the sunset or simply have a beer with you and find a random spot & just enjoy. travelled somewhere in July 2014.

A good place for sunset photography is up at the castle in Oia, if you want a good spot best to go early as it can get very crowded .

Easy walk, great food and drink along the way! We did not go to the Church for the sunset, but we had our own right from the Villa!

The shops are very good and you have a lot of restaurants, and the sun set is a must.Oia was the five largest settlements on the island. the house are dug into the lava from the eruptions of the volcano.

On the way up from Ammoundi, we stopped on the walking path and just watched as the sun set for the night. It hasn't been this bright and colorful other evenings, but tonight was the night to see it...orange has never been so bright and beautiful. It was nice to stop and enjoy the quiet for a brief moment.

Oia is a beautiful town, well worth a visit alone. If you're going however, stay for the sunset. We chose to watch from, a fairly expensive, bar to watch. You can however watch from all over for free. If you're in Santorini, don't leave without seeing it.
