Captain Stathis is a lovely man who is kind and gentle. I reserved a 2 hour trip around the caldera for our family with a stop or two to take a quick swim. I did not want to visit the volcano but I wanted to experience Santorini from the water. We met the Captain in Ammoudi after we had lunch... More

This was a lovely day out. We took the boat around to Armeni harbour where a bus was waiting to take us up to Oia. Lovely though it was, 5 hours was too long to spend there. We then went across to the hot springs, but be warned - it's no good if you aren't a strong swimmer. After the... More

Capt Stavis was very nice, knowledgeable about the caldera area, accommodating, took us to walk on Nea kameni, and then dropped us off at the old port Fira

Stathis Xagoraris owns two boats called Anemos which can take Santorini cruise port visitors up the coast to Oia—the famous postcard town with white-washed, blue domed houses and fabulous views. Having read how difficult it is to get up the cliff right above the port (either by mule or small cable cars with long waiting time), I was glad I... More

One of the stopovers on our cruise was in Santorini. We joined a tour organised by one of the passengers on the cruise with Captain Stathis. According to the organiser, Captain Stathis replied to her emails promptly and we had a fabulous day. There were so many of us wanting to do this tour that we had to do it... More

We originally contacted Stathis to inquire about a transfer by boat from Fira to Oia so that we could avoid the long lines waiting for a cable car up to Fira. Stathis responded quickly with a price but also offered two other options which included the transfer + a visit to the volcano caldera or those +swimming in the hot... More

I visited Santorini at date 09.07.2013. I went there by ferry from Rethymno. It took 3 hours to come there by ferry for my one day trip to this wonderful island. From Thira port our tourist group went on by bus, first up to the Village of Oia in the north of the island. In Oia are narrow cobbled streets,... More

Based on TripAdvisor reviews, I booked a one-way trip (Fira -> Oia's Amoudi Bay) for a party of 6 with Captain Stathis on the Anemos over email, for a 20 EU deposit paid via PayPal (total price quoted as 120 EU for up to 10 passengers). Captain Stathis responded promptly to questions, and suggested stopping for a swim in the... More

We had a great day with Capt. Stathis. Our cruise ship tenderd into Fira where we met Stathis. He took us aboard the Anemos and headed out avoiding all the crowds trying to make their way up to Fira. Stathis took us to Ammoudi harbor where he had arranged for a mini bus to transport our group of 10 up... More

There are a lot of unmet expectations from this tour, due to hyped descriptions (maybe intentionally) by tour operators and online literature. Here are the facts: You are picked from the bus stop near your hotel and taken to the port. Here, you will be taken by a pirate ship-like boat to a volcanic island. You will be asked to... More
