It is the view that matters here, not the ruin. This ruin is in the end of Oia romantic's small road. From the ruin you can see Amoudi Bay, Oia and caldera view in general. I can see that this is the favorite place for pre-wedding photography.

this spot is one of the best locations to see the sunset in the evening but it's a very pretty spot at any time. The building itself is in ruins but a great high up vantage point to see a lot of the island. It's free to visit.

On the top of the quaint Oia village, this ruin is one of the best panorama points in Santorini. The vista is breathtaking! You arrive here after walking through the village, whose beauty tends to open your soul already, and when you arrive here you really feel you are seeing something! This was a boat+bus 1-day tour of Santorini (from... More

it's one of the many sweet spot to view oia's Sunset. Located in the mazed city of oia. The view overlooking directly to the caldera, so you'll get the su setting into the caldera sea. It's not actually a castle. It a castle ruin and only the base construction left. Advice: go early before the sunset since on the tourist... More

Santorini was one of our cruise stops. We caught a taxi to the magnificent little city of Oia and took at least 100 postcard perfect photos. Every turn on the cobblestone winding walkways opened up a panoramic sea vista as blue as you can imagine. As we had arrived early, there was no one about. Local shops had not even... More

Highly recommend stopping here if you can to take pictures. If you drive yourself parking can be spotty and there will be a bit of a trek, but well worth it! There's also many little shops and bars to stop along the way to dodge the sun, first sunburn in my life! Great beaches not far down the road as... More

The view from the castle is wonderful, and you can watch the sunset there. It is also a good spot to take photo of the houses on the island. After sunset when people are leaving, stay a little longer and you will see an amazing picture of a colourful sky together with the lovely houses (of course only when the... More

It is a little bit dificult to get there, you need very confortable non slippery shoes! There are the remaines of what formerly was a glorious Byzantine Castle, ......only a few walls but with a beautiful scenery around: the Thirassia Island in front of it; the volcano .part of Oía and Thirassia ro the distance in one side and to... The is the favorite spot for viewing the famous Santorini sunsets. Not much left of the castle to see though. Many brides & grooms get their pictures taken here. Get here early for a good spot to take photos of the sunset as it will get very crowded.
