Down a ton of steps and you find a small harbour and a number of very expensive restaurants. We got the boat to Thirassa from here but there was no other reason to go down. To get back up you can walk up the road (moderate) or up the steps (be fit) or get the a donkey ride back up.... More

I went to this bay just to catch the yacht for a sunset cruise. I was blown away with the beauty. The path to this bay is not a straight road but the view is amazing. There was lush mountains of greenery. The bay, however is very small. Cars/coach/buses have difficulty finding parking and navigating around the small available street.... More

The lobster pasta is amazing at Sunset Taverna!! The portion is for two people. Tables are right by the sea. Very romantic as you watch the sun setting with the sail boats in full sail, makes for great photos!

Gorgeus little port in Oia. Go for a dip in the blue sea. Take a donkey to the way up, it's super fun.

This is reputed as 'the place' to see the sunset in Oia. As I was walking down I couldn't help thinking about the journey back up and tried to push it out my mind. It's a pretty little bay, with small fishing boats bobbing about and the sun sparkling off the water, just lovely. Take time just to sit and... More

Ammoudi was right under our villa and we used to jog on the steps every morning. We went for swimming in Ammoudi, had a great launch at the ammoudi restaurant and from that port we embarked on a private cruise around the island

Best fresh fish on island. Shrimp & mussels are pre frozen so order the catch of the day for freshness

We had dinner in Amoudi Bay one evening and walked down from Oia - it was a TOUGH walk (we are both very physically active but weren't in "hiking" shoes). Its steep, the stairs can be slippery, etc. We got a cab back to Oia - recommended mode of transport! It's definitely a cool site to see if you are... More

Amoudi Bay is hidden as as much as few signs are posted so you know where to find it. This is one of the favorite places for those in the know to eat a sunset dinner. There are about a half dozen restaurants, but you'd best have reservations or you may not get a table until well after sunset. Taxis... More
