From our villa in Oia - we could see people swimming in Amoudi Bay. The owner of our villa told us it was a great place to swim - it was BEAUTIFUL - the kids loved jumping off the rocks - it was a long hot walk down - kind of slippery and you had to avoid the donkey poop... More

Climbed down the 215 stairs to the bay in March. The restaurants were closed, but we came to swim and brought a picnic. The water was cold (still March), but really invigorating and fun. Truly a beautiful spot.

Amoudi Bay has beautiful views, and it was a nice hike getting down to this area from our hotel in Oia. I recommend walking down the steps (if you can) and not using the donkey as we were told by many people that they are often not treated well. We ate lunch here one day and it was so nice... More

The Bay Area is nice to explore and have a cappuccino or a beer but the restaurants seem to be lacking a need for competition. They have a great view of the water but the food was pedestrian at best.

This was the highlight of our eating! The view and atmosphere was great. We heard the other restaurants were not as good after we were there so we were lucky cause we were at the best.

Walked up and down the stairs to this Bay in the late afternoon once the sun wasn't as hot. Restaurants looked nice and fresh but did not eat down there.

Walked down to Amoudi bay early in the morning- it was a great way to check out Oia in the wee hours, and one could also take a dip if needed.

it is small and the water deep so you can not swim, the fish restaurants in the port are good but charging a lot for everything

A small bay with deep clear water, various fishing taverns and the place to take the boats around the island

We drove to the waterfront and walked to the restaurants . We were looking for fresh fish and found a spot Katina's where we picked the fish caught that night for our lunch . We did the late lunch thing . Bit of a hairy walk but well worth the effort . Very quaint and classy .
