Drive through Oia and down a windy round and you get to Amoudi Bay ....... Amazing! A small seclude bay which is so picturesque, it has a few fantastic fish restaurants where you sit on the edge on the water looking into the clear blue sea dining on what has been caught that very day. There is a walk up... More

You can miss this place, if you are a vegetarian, as this is a short deck kinda, with 4 to 5 taverns serving seafood right by the sea. Go there for the view/feel of sitting right next to the water and eating. We went after the Sunset, by car from Oia.

This was on my checklist for our Santorini Escapade from all the recommended literature I had read. Spring was just starting so in the late afternoon, the cafes and restaurants were closed but the men were carefully and passionately cleaning, painting and rearranging the boardwalk so that they can greet the holiday revellers soon enough. However for us 4 girls,... More

This little town under Oia was extremely quiet and the restaurant staff extremely friendly, even though you are passing right through the middle of their restaurant to explore the area. Prices at the eating places seemed similar to the rest of the island; however we didn't stop to eat. Around the cliff-side from Amoudi Bay there is a beautiful little... More

Go down by the stairs from Oia, eat and drink on a romantic terrace, the little fishermens boats. A view you wil never forget. One of the top 10 of Santorini

Tucked away at the lower end of Oia, this bay is stunning. There are some wonderful little restaurants serving locally caught fish, perfect to sit and watch the sparling blue sea.

From our villa in Oia - we could see people swimming in Amoudi Bay. The owner of our villa told us it was a great place to swim - it was BEAUTIFUL - the kids loved jumping off the rocks - it was a long hot walk down - kind of slippery and you had to avoid the donkey poop... More

Climbed down the 215 stairs to the bay in March. The restaurants were closed, but we came to swim and brought a picnic. The water was cold (still March), but really invigorating and fun. Truly a beautiful spot.

Amoudi Bay has beautiful views, and it was a nice hike getting down to this area from our hotel in Oia. I recommend walking down the steps (if you can) and not using the donkey as we were told by many people that they are often not treated well. We ate lunch here one day and it was so nice... More

The Bay Area is nice to explore and have a cappuccino or a beer but the restaurants seem to be lacking a need for competition. They have a great view of the water but the food was pedestrian at best.
