Second time on Santorini, second walk down to the bay

Well worth the 300 steps down, and back up if you are feeling fit! The bay is one of the most picturesque spots on the island, looking back up to Oia on top of the cliff with its... read more

Food at Sunset was average, service slow, and you can't actually see the sunset because it's blocked by a hill. There are about four adjacent taverns. You can walk down 1200 steps to get there or take a 10 euro taxi.

As true believers in peer reviews, my husband and I just HAD to brush up on our donkey poop hopscotch game and brave the treacherous slanted stairs down to the "number two" attraction in Oia. I don't know what was more disappointing...realizing our effort was for a selection of three overpriced restaurants and a mediocre view or that we soon... More

Well worth the 300 steps down, and back up if you are feeling fit! The bay is one of the most picturesque spots on the island, looking back up to Oia on top of the cliff with its white buildings and blue roofs and the water front restaurants standing out into the sea. We visited twice for the amazing fresh... More

The bay was very quite and deserted when we visited. There are steps that lead directly from one of the by lanes or you can take the road if you have a car to commute. You can come here for some peaceful moments and just relax yourself, if it isn't the summers.

We had dinner at one of the tavernas while viewing the sunset.... The place is beautiful and all tavernas located in the bay served fresh fish of the day cooked to perfection.

This is a beautiful location right on the water, Amoudi Bay Fish Restaurant has amazing food and great staff, very clean and right over the water, crystal clear water and beautiful coloured small boats, there are Donkeys available if you want to take the steep path up to Oia, we drove down from Oia and parked nearby, good roads

I loved the restaurants and bars that sat at the bottom of the Oia cliffs that made up Amoudi Bay. We ate there one night as well as docked there after a sailing excursion.

All you imagine a quaint fishing village to offer but better. We ate at Ammoudi Fish Restaurant and Katina Restaurant and can recommend both. We returned a few times. Staff were lively and proud and they want to share their knowledge and their produce. A long lunch with the comings and goings of a small port over local wines for... More

The walk down the steps are, on a scale from 1 (easy) to 10 (difficult), about a 5. Going up is a bit harder, but go slow and it scores about a 7. The visit in that quaint little bay was fantastic. Had drinks at Dmitris, good service. Worth the effort to visit.

Quaint fishing bay. Great seafood and beautiful sunset. If visiting, plan your trip accordingly. There are many stairs to go up/down. There are donkeys available to go back up, however, they are not available all night. You can also arrange for a taxi.
