Away from the hustle bustle of Santorini, at the foot of the steep cliffs of Oia is a glistening seashore cove on Amoudi Bay. If you're an avid hiker, there are about 300 winding steps from the city of Oia that lead you down as you experience the spectacular view. If not, travel by car or taxi to a free... More

We had such a great time at Amoudi Bay. Bring some drinks and snacks and a towel. We spent the whole day in the water. Less touristy than most places which we loved!

A fun and scenic walk down from Oia (though you may prefer to take a taxi up!). Wonderful restaurants with fresh fish caught just hours before. Sunset was our favorite restaurant. Great for lunch, and return another day to watch the sunset for dinner.

We had a nice walk down to the bay, went for a swim and the had lunch. The water was beautiful although rocky terrain and not easy to get in and out. A lot of people were having fun jumping off the rocks. The view at lunch was scenic and the fish fresh. Not a lot to do in Amoudi... More

Try the Sunset Grill. Must order a fresh fish. Walk the stairs down from Oia... walk back up only if you really want the exercise.

Go dine at one of the 5 restaurants there. I ate at dimitris which is the last one in the row. It was recommended to me but I think the other restaurants would have been good too! If you go during lunch time you can eat and swim as you can have a dip in the water near by. People... More

It's a tourist trap. A lovely location that is now no more than a rendezvous for Med tourists who need to tick it off their list. the restaurants are all over-priced and unimpressive. The facilities for parking and walking around are really poor.

When you get down to the restaurant area at Ammoudi Bay, keep walking around to your left and you finally will get to a little rocky area where you can swim. Our teens swam out to a rock and jumped off - great for swimming but not for sunbathing. The restaurants are delicious with fresh fish.

So beautiful it did not look real. It was a bit of a walk but well worth it. You have all of the diverse shopping to and from to make it even more interesting.
