Two hours before low tide one can start a wonderful walk along the beach, hiking through the arches along the beach. Be aware that some skill is needed to navigate the cliffs; if you're starting from Etretat there's a piece in the middle where climbing skills come in handy. But.. it's so worth it! Wonderful sights, cliffs, and the smell... More

Lovely place to visit. Spent a day there on a sunny day in June. The weather was perfect not too hot and with a cool breeze. The view was amazing with sea gulls flying around! Not to be missed. The little town is beautiful with it's quaint houses. Lots of eating places with sea food..

I visit this beautiful place on my Normandy tour. It was not my plan to visit it at first but I got hint form a nice Greek gentlemen that this is a must if im in this area. I have to admit I didn't regard it. Walk along the beach reviles awesome view on sea and cliffs.

Great scenery and a lovely beach worth a trip to here as well as looking around the area. Parking can be difficult in peak season

I've been in a lot of places in France and this is one of the most beautiful natural place I've seen in my life (and I travel alot) It looks so perfectly by the wind and the sea that it looks made on purpose ! It's free of charge to go up there. Just enjoy. Good place to take a... More

take a good pair of shoes with you and enjoy the hiking paths to see this beautiful coast. Etretat is very touristy, but you can avoid this. Go to the small supermarket, buy a baguette and have lunch on the beach!

Poor review I'm afraid and I rarely give negative feedback . Etretat is a charming location but it's now rammed full of tourists to such an extent that 'in season ,you feel as if you have become a lemming. The cliff edge therefore seemed to be a better prospect than a fighting the tide of humanity through the village back... More

We stayed for a weekend in this lovely village. The view of this rocks makes you feel you're part of a film about a very exotic place in the world. They truly are amazing and hopefully will stay there for long time. Some locals say they are about to collapse... I'm glad we could enjoy them!

We hiked these cliffs daily for 3 days. I'd have like to have done more, and been there longer for longer hikes, as it rained each morning, we got soaked the first day, and then got late starts the others. Both directions are gorgeous, with some paved areas of trails and some not. Lots of steps to start from the... More
