Étretat is known for its cliffs, including three natural arches & pebble beach. The views from the cliff are spectacular.

This place is one of the best places in Normandy. Must see while travelling to mont st michel. The beach is very clean. It was also good to hike on top of the Falaise

It's just impressive and a must see if you are visiting Normandy. We were told it is better to visit it when it's not summer because during this season it's full of people. We were almost alone there and it's a place I will never forget. I have amazing pictures from there :)

Not only are the views from the cliffs spectacular, but the caves and tunnels are fun to explore. Be sure to do the walks on both sides of the beach. We actually spent close to an entire day hiking and exploring.

The views are amazing from the top of the cliffs by the church but do take a moment to look at the strange white spike! This is a memorial to two brave Frenchmen who died in a mysterious tragedy. Etretat was their last view of France. More here with some pictures http://www.normandythenandnow.com/last-flight-of-the-white-bird-at-etretat/ Enjoy your trip!

We wanted to do a 1.5 day road excursion from Paris. Etretat was our first stop and is a cute little town with absolute beauty surrounding it. Stop here if you're doing a Normandy excursion. Allow 2-3 hours to explore both sides and an hour or two to eat and walk around town. Our excursion with a rental car stated... More

The cliffs don't need to be presented anymore, they're stunning and well worth the trip. However, here are a few things you need to know: First of al, parking spaces are limites in this little town, and summer months are dreadful. The further away you park, the best. Second, the cliffs paths are downtrodden, bring along a pair of walking... More

Make the effort to hike up the hill, on both sides if you can manage it. The views are spectacular. It is well worth the effort to keep going until you can look back at the needle. We sat here for a picnic lunch, and were a little concerned a while later when we saw a sign by the golf... More

I've been wanting to visit Etretat for a long time to see the cliffs, and finally managed it as a day trip from Paris. It takes about 2.5 hours, on good roads. Be prepared to pay a lot in tolls. The cliffs were spectacular -- I was able to see them at both high and low tides, in cloudy and... More

The enormous cliffs of Etretat have three arches, the most famous one (often seen in movies) can be accessed from the top. The hiking path is quite steep, so you need to be pretty fit. But once you are on top, the view is spectacular. The town of Etretat below you, the golf course on the other side. Photos, depending... More
