After climbing the hill of the cliff you appear at the place of a pure calmness. The scenery of English Channel is so breathtaking that during the time I spent there, I didn’t hear loud sounds produced by the tourists. No wonder that impressionists were inspired by this place. It worth spending there the all day long, drinking wine, listening... More

The cliffs are truly amazing.... we were very impressed by the beauty, the colors, the atmosphere of the place. To visit the cliffs, we've parked in the main road right outside the city (there is free and paid parking there), between Le Havre and Etretat. There is a small road that goes behind the golf club. After perhaps 30min walk... More

This area in the coast is really very expectacular... Nice village, fisherman town. Good place to walk enjoying the nature.

One of the most unforgettable things you can see at the northern coast of France. There is a small trail that goes up until the very end of the arch, with an amazing view that simply can not be described! There is a parking area just before the beach, but chances of finding a good parking spot there starts to... More

The sea arches in Etretat are amazingly beautiful. Our visit was inspired by a drink coaster set I have of Monet's paintings. One of them is of the Falaise d'Etretat, so I wanted to see where this beautiful scene was. Etretat is a lovely little town, the view of the arches from the beach are wonderful. To really see and... Reagrdless the weather, worth the visit. Go up the cliff and you won't regret! Make sure you have decent photo camera! No iphone is capable to transfer colorful view!

This ws a great experience to do. Unfortunately the weather was not nice but we could imagine it with blue sky. The cliffs are amazing. We recommend to go their with low tide so that you can walk under the arch. But it is also amazing with high tide as the water goes just next to the cliffs. In this... More

Although a pebble beach, there are tree gorgeous arches in Etretat, two of them can be seen from the beach. We came towards 7:00 P.M. and the sun graced both arches, making them more attractive than ever! The sea was a bit wild and it rolled its waves like thunder. The cliffs themselves were quite imposing. On the top of... More

Once you arrived in Etretat village it was very easy to get to the cliffs (falaises) and enjoy the wonderful views. The village of Etretat suffered from touristic overload though. Easy to take the bus from Le Havre (only 2 euros per adult).

Walking up the cliffs to appreciate the beauty of the scenery - we were lucky with the weather that we could sit and picnic and watch the boats
