Didn't know the place but was definitely worth the detour. Lovely cliffs, nice place for a walk. Even better if the weather is nice. Take the time to enjoy it...

The natural beauty of rugged cliffs, long pebble beach, jutting rock formations and the crashing surf of the English Channel -- this place leaves an indelible image in one's memory. This is a seaside village that we would like to visit again and stay a few days to take in the full effect.

We drove from le Havre to Etretat. We took a small road, which was very picturesque. Arriving in the village it is quite difficult to find a parking space. The village is cute but very touristy, when arriving at the beach the view is breathtaking. It is possible to go up the two hills. It's definitely recommended but very windy.... More

My husband and I briefly visited Etretat as part of a road trip through Normandy, and it was one of the absolute highlights of our time there! Neither of us knew anything about it before arriving there (besides seeing a couple photos), and we wished we had been able to spend more time in this adorable town! There is good... More

When we came here, I wished we didn't just drive up here from Honfleur for the day only. It took us 5 hours to just climb the cliffs and I can't say that we got to see much of the town itself. The hikes/walks up on the cliffs are beautiful and the sea colours inviting. To swim in those waters... More

The village is small but the seaside and the view are fantastic. A unique landscape. Defently worth a stop, shorter or longer.

When I saw the picture of Etretat I said Oh wow, I want to go there. But the feeling I had when I got there can't be described. I spend there 4 or 5 hours just enjoying the beautiful nature. There is a path that goes up to the cliffs, the place where you can touch the sky. The mix... More

I found Etretat on google maps when I was exploring the west coast of Normandy for my last week trip. Etretat is a small town with few shops and old cafes, hotel and restaurant. Though it's pebbled coast but very attractive for scenery. On both ends there are cliffs which you can reach up by walking but you need to... More
