What a nice beach, warm water and wonderful time! Peaceful water, none to bothe. Just One restaurant in the place, but it's a nice one.

It is not the biggest, but is very clean, surrounded by coconut trees, a lot of activities and sport with local villagers, turtle nets, and a fishing village connecting to the left side of the beach.

Cape Verde moto of no stress apply here, in tarrafall I have never felt so chilled. This is not the best beach in Cape Verde but it has the most laid back peaceful atmosphere . The drive through the mountains is an incredible feet of engineering with the most spectacular views I have ever seen. The alternative coastal road is... More

Very nice beach with a lot of local activity! You have to try the cocktails served by a very nice italian woman on the beach! Nice place to spend a day!

80km from Praia with very good roads (it will take you 1:30H)! It gives you a very good idea of the island as you will travel by the interior and on the way back on seaside road (beautiful!!)

As title, it is a Nice beach but One has to be aware of the dogs (quite a few) making the beach to their Living incl. Toilet... Other than that we recommend residence terrafal - simple , clean !!! And good breakfast, but Not the beach restaurant mare & luna

My friend and I made the 90 minute journey from Praia to Tarrafel and it was well worth it! The beach was so pretty the only down side were the stary dogs and aggressive ladies trying to sell coconuts.

We were here in off-season and enjoyed to have this beautiful beach almost entirely to ourselves! The beach and water was very cleand. Snorkeling is possible right off the beach, sometimes there are whole schools of small fish passing by. A lovely place!

I enjoyed the calm of this little village and the splendid beach. We were very few people and the sea was perfect. In the village, people are friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the delicious fish and pizza at the Pizzeria Grill Alto Mira, which has a very pleasant Mediterranean courtyard and the market, where you can buy local specialities... More

If you travel to Cape Verde during the windy season, the sea can be dangerous. Tarrafal beach is a safe place to be with children
