As part of a trip for a family reunion, my wife and I spent an afternoon along the western end of the Niagara Wine Trail. Some thoughts and comments about the wineries we visited... My wife often comments that the pourer at a winery tasting room often makes or breaks her opinion of the wine and winery. At Freedom Run... More

I've done the Niagara Wine trail many times with groups and just couples. It is always a good time and the staff at the wineries are very friendly and knowledgable. The tastings are fun and allow you try these wines before you purchase. All of the wineries are fairly close to each other so you do not have to travel... More

I love the Niagagra Wine Trail, it is always a fun trip. The scenery is beatuful and very rustic. I like it much better than the Canadian wine trail. The Canadians all have the same wines there is no variety, if you've seen one you've seen them all, but the Niagaga Wine trail offers a much larger variety to try,... More

This is a wonderful way to spend a day. We toured several vineyards and learned about the wine making process and were able to sample some of the great local products. We left with a few bottles and a new appreciation for the hard working families who run these vineyards in a burgeoning business. I couldn't help but be impressed... More

This is a great way to spend a day with friends. The landscape is beautiful. We bought $25 wine passports at the first winery which gave us tastings at every winery and 10% off anything we bought. We went to 10 wineries in 8 hours. The region doesn't do well with dry reds, but if you like sweet, fruity whites... More

While it doesn't yet really match the Ontario wine region just across the Niagara River, the Niagara USA region is worth touring. The wineries are a mixed bag. There are some standouts -- Arrowhead Springs and Freedom Run to name two good examples close to home -- and then there are others. It's fun tasting at several to see what... More

The tours were well attended with a knowlegable guide, the wines are rather sweeter than those that are sold in the UK. Amazing to see what are really New World wines in such quantities

The Canadian Wine Country is gorgeous - lush and green, vineyards everywhere, vistas, and amazing architecture. Even better is the wine - yes, it can be a bit pricey, but the people are extremely knowledgeable, and samples, while typically not free, can be had for a nominal donation fee.

I have visited a few wineries in Niagara and love going on the tours as I learn something different all the time. Each place has it's own unique wine and diffenately worth the time to check them out.
