Check out this whirlpool that goes in the wrong direction! It's amazing! At night when they turn down the flow of the Falls, the whirlpool actually stops! Amazing!

Thank goodness we saw a review on Trip Advisor because we would never have known about this great trail! We followed a suggestion and it was awesome! We took the Whirlpool trail to Devils Hole then the Rim Trail back to the Whirpool parking lot! Great Trail, Steep, You need hiking shoes, water and a few snacks. Sit and enjoy... More

Gives you an up close look at a Class 6 Rapids without the fear of drowning or getting wet. After an elevator ride down to the base of the cliff and river, it's a 1/2 mile walk down a boardwalk to the site of some amazing water rapids.

If you missed this it would have been okay! The only thing the tour guide talked about was the Canada side and how they have all the GREAT things that we don't have. It was fun to watch the cable car from the other side!

I liked to spent some time watching the whirlpool and hearing all the stories about it. I disliked all the bushes in front of the terrace, maybe they can cut them a little bit to have a better view.

This is another state park that we visit all year round. There are the usual amenities; picnic tables, restrooms (seasonal), natural history room (seasonal), and, of course, a wonderful overview of Niagara's Whirlpool and Standing Wave. Once the ice is gone and the stairs reopened it is a great experience to walk down into the gorge and experience the Niagara... More

It's just amazing how the rapids are so strong and then it flows into this whirlpool effect that is so calm. A must see.

Come here to see the Niagara River up close and personal. The park up top is nice, but the real reason for visiting is to hike to the bottom of the gorge right down to the river. There are stairs/trail that take you down to river level. When you are at the bottom, you can walk a trail upstream to... More

The lower Niagra river takes a sharp right turn here, as a result of which it creates a strong whirlpool! Water flowing at such a fierce force makes the view amazing. It seems that there is a trail where you can walk down to the river and enjoy the views even better. It is approx. 45 min downhill and more... More
