If you can only afford one Niagara attraction-- make sure you ride the Maid of the Mist. Long enough to get your money's worth but not too long for small children to lose interest. The up close view of the falls is breath taking!!

While visiting both the US and Canadian side at Niagara Falls, I debated which side to ride the Maid of the Mist. Both sides have a docking station for Maid of the Mist and both sides take you on the exact route and on the same type of boat. The Canadian side is ~$21 and the the US side is... More

we had such a wonderful family trip here. I wondered why we hadn't done it sooner. The Maid of the Mist was a wonder of the world that we will never forget. Stand closer to a speaker though because there are places on the boat you cant hear what the Captain is saying. We spoke with the man in the... More

As you get close to Niagara Falls you can see the huge column of "Mist" rising from the Falls...(It almost looks like industrial pollution). If you don't do anything else in the park, go on this attraction! Put on your plastic "Poncho", get on the top deck of the boat and enjoy the experience of being immersed. These are large,... More

Must take this ride, if you want to feel the falls... nothing like it.. you are almost under the falls and will get drenched (you might want to wear the ponch given by the boat). Just feel it...

Maid of the Mist was very cool. It was nice to see the falls up close, but you will get wet. Fortunately we were given ponchos so it's not so bad. It is hard to take pictures with all the mist.

It was over 40 years since I had made my last trip to the falls and I still remember the Maid of the Mist boat ride. My daughter and I were in the area and she had never been to the Falls so we decided to spend the day. When we arrived (around 10:30 on a Sat. in August) I... More

We enjoyed the walls of water around us but the mist was distinctly underwhelming. Think the wind was a bit tame / in the wrong direction for an exciting experience.

This is a very affordable attraction for families. We took our three boys (ages 7, 8, and 9), and we ALL absolutely loved the experience! It cost us less than $60 (which for a family of 5 is a great value), for a 30 minute boat ride into the falls, as well as an amazing view of the falls. It... More

If you are at Niagara Falls, you have to try the Maid of the Mist! It is such a good view of both falls and amazing to be right down at the bottom of the horseshoe falls. This was a great experience, and the staff are very friendly.
