If you could only do one thing in Niagara Falls, this is the one. This gets you so close to the power and wonder of the falls. Plus, when you get off the boat there is a hurricane deck you can walk up and you get the same experience as the Cave of the Winds. Warning you will get wet,... More

This boat ride offers a simply amazing view of the falls, traveling to the base of the falls. Yes you get wet, but that's part of the fun.

This is one of those things that you can't say you've been to Niagara and didn't do. It is very "assembly line" and the staff move you in and out quickly. The views and the capabilities of getting that close to the falls are breathtaking. A true wonder! Not a bad value either.

As of July 2014, you can see that the Hornblower is PACKED with tourists. Its also a larger boat, meaning there is less railspace proportional to the total area, and more people packed inside toward the middle of the boat. As for the Maid of the Mist, while the boats may be older, you still get the full experience and... More

It gave me goose bumps to see the Falls from this perspective! It is truly amazing. The roar of the water and the mist and feeling like so tiny under this grand waterfall is something my family and I won't forget.

You can not go to Niagara Falls without taking a ride into the mouth of the falls. Should you take the MOM or the Hornblower cruise in Canada? My vote is the MOMist. It is a tradition for over 100 years (1846!) The Hornblower boats and brand new and are bigger. If you watch the boats you can tell that... More

I agree that the boat trip up and close to the falls was AMAZING. They are magnificent. I felt like cattle being moved along from one location to the other and the time on the boat felt short. I would have liked less people so I could enjoy the falls without fighting for a spot. Parking was full early so... More

Great way to see the Falls. I enjoyed it just as much as my kids. Definitely bring a sweatshirt, even if it's warm out. You can strategically move yourself around the boat to control how wet you get.

If you don't mind getting soaked, this is something you can't miss. The views of the falls are breathtaking and I would definitely do this again.

Adults are jaded when they travel. Been there, done that. But the Maid of the Mist is unlike anything else in the world. In the busy months, you'll stand on a seriously long line (that moves fairly quickly) and get handed your blue plastic rain poncho and think, "Really? I need this?" Really, you do, if you choose to stand... More
