We were visiting Niagara Falls and stumbled on this by mistake and when I wanted to give it 5 out of 5 review and let everyone know this is something they should do I couldn't find that anyone had ever reviewed it before. When we were looking at the falls I saw this huge cantilevered bridge looking thing near the... More

We really wanted to try this attraction out, but our 9 year old was afraid of getting sick since she gets car sick so easily. I told her the boat has big motors that keeps it from rocking and promised her she wouldn't get sick - and she didn't! I suggest getting here early, as the lines get long quickly,... More

Today our son married a beautiful woman aboard the Maid of the Mist. All guests (23 of us) are from California. Some are quite elderly. As mother of the groom some how I wound up being the one to purchase all the tickets prior to boarding and organizing everyone getting onto the boat. My father in law was the minister... More

You will get up close and personal with the falls on the Maid of the Mist!! I recommend getting a spot near the front of the boat for the best picture taking opportunities. Make sure to put your camera in a ziploc so it doesn't get wet. There was only one point in the ride where the water really flew... More

I had doubts about this excursion after passing through the visitor’s center, which in a word is nasty. But it’s managed by a government entity, so don’t expect much. On the “Maid”, though, visitors crammed into the bow like sardines, and donned blue plastic ponchos. I felt like I had just returned from the dry cleaner, wrapped in that thing☺... More

It’s been a long time since my kids have enjoyed anything as much as they enjoyed the Maid of the Mist cruise. It’s even worth walking through the dilapidated and dirty state-run visitor’s center one must pass through to reach the Maid of the Mist. As to the trip itself, be prepared for a thorough soaking and to have a... More

Although the trip is short it was a great experience. Do expect to get at least your face wet. The falls have amazing power and to be that close is a great wonder. A must do.

We had taken a cruise on Maid of the Mist many years ago, but decided to do it again on this trip. It was very windy and my only real complaint was that a man standing near me allowed his poncho to blow all over and it often blocked my view. The cruise itself is very nice. We stood on... More

This is awesome !!! you get soaking wet but its so fun to get that close to the falls and feel all the mist. Ask for Kat as your tour guide, she's the best and has a wonderful sense of history for both sides of the falls (U.S. and Canada).
