If you plan on doing one thing in the Niagara region, make it the Maid of the Mist. It will be a special experience you will absolutely NOT forget! If you dont mind getting wet, get a spot at the front of the boat. Yes you will get wet there despite the plastic rain ponchos they give to everyone as... More

Splendidly beautiful view from the bottom of the Falls. On a hot summer day the cool water is a welcome bonus. The lines move fairly quickly, and the nick-knacks in the gift shop are cute and reasonably priced. I make sure to take this scenic trip every time I visit the Falls.

I hadn't been to Niagara Falls in 58 years! i had great memories of the experience, and now I have more special memories. Seeing the falls from the bottom up is pretty special. Be prepared to get very wet if you are on the top level where we were, and I recommend the top level. The view is amazing and... More

We decided to take this tour even though we were staying on the Canadian side of the falls. It was very well organised and even though the cues were quite long, they moved quickly. You are provided with a rain poncho so make sure you use it, you really are going to need it! It is an amazing experience to... More

I recently went to Niagara with my wife and the Maid of the Mist tour was my favorite part. We went on the Saturday before Labor Day so the line was looong. I would say we waited for 1 hour total. I booked online but I don't think there is any reason to as we didn't get to skip the... More

Firstly - if you want to really enjoy - (and are not scared of water so much) - try to get a place at the front of the boat. (If your scared of the water - you might not want to go - or might stick to the boat cabin). Secondly - no camera :). We couldn't keep away from... More

We wanted to be sure to take the Maid of the Mist as opposed to the Hornblower from the Canadian side to support tradition. It was great! We got a great spot on the boat and I got fantastic photos of the falls as we entered the Horse Shoe. A must see!! _____________ We did this as a part of... More

There are many places where you can get a good view of the falls, especially from the Canadian side. But there is nothing like being in the river with the falls. When you are on the boat and can see Horseshoe Falls on 3 sides, it is truly awesome. You will be getting drenched at times so you must protect... More

Although the boat ride isn't very long, you need the poncho they give you, if it's a slightly windy day you get drenched! The views from the bottom of the falls Make sure wear sandals on the boat ride otherwise your footwear gets soaked through!

A boat ride like none other. Once you pass the American Falls you head into the Horse Shoe Falls. The mist simply becomes greater and greater. Before you know it it's literally raining on you while the thunder of the falls surrounds you. Be sure to wear shorts and sandals.
