This is a boat ride tour from both the sides of the Falls but the original Maid of the Mist boats only operate from the American side these days (in 2013, Hornblower Cruises took over the Canadian side operation). The experience includes access to the observation tower, an elevator ride down to the river, and then a cruise that puts... More

We did both the maid of mist and the Canadian side boat ride. I would've rated this a 5 if we would've got the top deck on the maid of the mist like we did on the Canadian boat tour. I will say, don't waste your money to do both sides...they both are exactly the same. We didn't know that,... More

After taking the tour back in '85, I knew this was a MUST bringing my family this time. The boats are bigger now and a fantastic crew make your trip to the horse shoe a memorable one! You will get wet unless you stay inside. But you MUST get up on the bow to get the greatest experience. Look at... More

And I took the opportunity to climb the steps on the side before meeting up with my tour group. Niagara Falls is a fantastic experience and perfect for families with children. I went as a girl and was so happy to do it again as an adult.

If you're only going to do one attraction, put this at the top of the list. No better way to experience the Falls than by going by boat right in the middle of all the action. Go early to beat the crowds! And plan to get wet.

This was my favorite stop of our trip. We went late October, and even with chilled temps and a misty day, it didn't damper the experience. When you are on the boat approaching the falls, you feel like you are right underneath it. If you don't want to get as wet, find a spot on the lower level or on... More

When you visit Niagara Falls, plan it for a Friday night. The fireworks display every Friday over Niagara Falls is simply stunning. The sound of the falls is amazing, and it's just such a beautiful sight. To get a really good look of the horseshoes falls, get on the maid of the mist boat. It's breathtaking and a once in... More

We loved this excursion. It was a little chilled out, but not too bad, but when the spray from the falls hits you, it got very cold. They gave everyone plastic jackets to wear and they protected you from most of the water. This was a great way to see the falls

Touristy? Yes. Overpriced? Yes. Will you get wet? Depends on where you choose to stand on the boat. Despite this, the experience is worth every penny ... How amazing to be so up close to the power and beauty of the thundering waters of Niagara! The boat will pass close to the American Falls and then venture into the basin... More
