Lawrence Farms Orchards is a hidden gem! Farm fresh fruit and vegetable picking, beautiful views, animals to visit and feed, a quaint village of play houses for the children to play in and a store and bakery with lots of great offerings - dynamite donuts!

As a few have stated, it is pricey to pick your own fruits. When our kids were smaller it was fun to visit but not when they're older. Nice little play village & water fowl in the pond. A lot of wasted fruit on the grounds. They have veggies also. Worth being a chaperone on a class trip.

Enjoyable day to wander the orchards, pick various varieties of apples and other seasonal fruits and vegetables. Nice setting with things to do for kids. Enjoy the delicious donuts as well. Gets crowded on the weekends, especially in early Sept when the weather is nice. Worth the drive.

Best suited for young children, farm was clean and busy. Not much for the tween group but lovely views and enjoyed the horses. Wished the pumpkins were in an actual pumpkin patch.

I already enjoy and visit Newburgh frequently but now I have an added incentive...Lawrence Farms! Its great because its not just apples...we got peaches, apricots, plums, pears, grapes, raspberries, corn, pumpkins, tomatoes, peppers, mustard greens and garlic! They also have horses, chickens, a turkey, a peacock and goats and a small village around a pond with geese, ducks and swans.... More

We had a great day at Lawrence orchards . Took my 2 granddaughters who thoroughly enjoyed every moment. They have a village of small buildings, a post office, church, jail, firehouse, ice cream parlor & several others. All the children were having a great time going in & out of the buildings. The apple picking was excellent. The rows were labeled with the different... More

In less than two hours you can drive north from New York City to Newburgh NY to visit the Lawrence Farms Orchards. Very popular stop with plenty of parking. Maps of the farm and plenty of help direct you to the apple of your choice and also the produce you need. The kids loved it and the adults bagged dozens... More

Had a great time with the family playing in the little village, walking around the store, and picking our own fruits and veggies. The food there was reasonably priced, but not too fantastic. A picnic would've been a better option. Bring your sunscreen n say hi to the animals!

Nice place to visit for a couple of hours. Grounds are beautiful with really nice views of the surrounding hills. Very quiet and peaceful way to spend some time. The selection of fruits and vegetables available for picking (depending on the season, of course) is varied and interesting. They are somewhat expensive to purchase upon your leave, but you can... Prices on average are at least twice the price, if not triple the price, of supermarkets, and supermarkets have it picked and delivered to your neighborhood market for purchase. Not only were cherries $7+ per pound, but donut peaches were $4.99 per pound and regular peaches $3.99. Why bother spending the money for gas and stomping around a large farm... More
