Local folks all have their favorite orchard for apple cider. My wife and I prefer that from Dressels because of consistency over many years. Many heirloom apple varieties as well. Oh, and I forgot strawberries, which can't be beat.

I think we came at the best time, Columbus Day, which is also in the Halloween season, which means many pumpkins!!! And apples of course! And some crispy doughnuts, cold cider, hot apple cider for a chilly day and the best - pumpkin ice cream... Overall we spent there about an hour but could have spent some more if we... More

The young folks here leave a lot to be desired. The parking lot attendant was great. The apples good. Too far for the apples though. Maskers is a lot closer. With a less nonsense to deal with.

Could you please expand on your review? We're always looking to improve and I'm unclear about what your concerns are with our services. What nonsense? Thanks Tim Dressel More

We have been going to Dressel farm since their price was 50 cents a pound for their apples. Their price has since doubled and we still go to Dressel farm for their crunchy apples and delicious apple cider donuts. I gave them 4 stars because they really have to update their stand to accommodate the visitors and have enough donuts... More

Hi Jennifer! Thanks for the review! We're happy you've been with us so long and thank you for your continuous support! We are very aware of the need to upgrade our retail store. It's been around forever and for 95% of the year it works great. Unfortunately, as you point out, we get about 3 super busy weekends a year... More

This family farm is great and have lots to do, particularly for family with kids. But be prepared for a big crowd if you go there over the weekend and during the season.

People from all over NY state wait for autumn every year so we can enjoy an enormous variety of apples from Dressel Farms. Just south of New Paltz in view of the majestic Shawungunk Mountains, affectionately known as "the Gunks",sits picturesque Dressel Farms, with rows and rows of trees and flowers to wander through freely on the weekends when you... Went for ice cream at the dairy stand. The ice cream was good. However the animals in the pens were sad looking and thus took away from enjoying the farm experience.

We're sorry you feel that way, but please know that we take animal care very seriously. All of the animals are cared for daily by one of our staff- this includes feeding, watering, cleaning, etc. Most of the animals you see are on loan from a neighboring farm whose owner checks up on their well-being multiple times a week to... Great little roadside farm. Larger than a stand. Wait until september october. They have the best apples (snapdragons and ruby frost are my faves). Also nice selection of pumpkins. Summer time they are good for summer fruits and tomatoes. Corn is among the sweetest I've ever had. Ice cream for those hot summer days. The staff are friendly. Recommended.

Only 2-3 miles south of New Paltz center, Dressel Farms has great local fruit and some creative ice cream creations to enjoy. On July 3rd we found beautiful ripe local blueberries, strawberries and cherries awaiting us, though if we had arrived from 8AM to noon we could have opted to pick our own tasty strawberries. With the entire Shawangunk range... More
