Dressel Farms isn't far from the heart of New Paltz. We went for apple picking but discovered they had more to offer - including free hay rides around the orchard, a corn maze, a farm stand with great cider and fresh donuts (amongst pre-picked apples and produce) and even a tasting room for local hard apple ciders, wines, and spirits.... Excellent apple orchard. Many varieties of apples--all delicious. Very nice, helpful people. Reasonable prices. They also had their own hard-cider, available for tasting and purchase.

Dont forget to ask about their Kettleborough cider, which is a lovely farmhouse style. Oh, and good veggies and apples too.

It seems more geared to people with children, which is fine but it's very crowded. And they don't allow dogs so we only stayed a short time because we didn't want to keep them in the car too long.

Loved the apples, pears, and fresh nectarines at their farmstand... and taking photos with the Apple's was memorable!

After visiting the farm for years, it was interesting to see a change in the offerings, including a new rude attitude on the part of the proprietor and staff. More for adults, less for children. For example, there is now wine tasting (sweet space, but not great wine), but much smaller petting zoo. Not only intolerant of children, but as... More
