Doesn't get much better for a great bike ride and fab views! Rode around both lakes for a total of about 15 miles- perfect day trip from Manhattan! Not too technical so can be done by most in shape riders! Coming again and bringing friends!

Gorgeous and lots of places for hikers of all levels to hike. My children loved wading in the water catching frogs near the waterfall.

Nice venue, methinks. More of a hiking place than a beachy lake and no boating. Nice pretty much any time of year, has a lot of different looks. There is a small beach but it's more of a children's beach with limited shoreline and not much space to lie out. Better for sunning on the rocks various places around the... More

I was actually there in April of 2013. Fresh snow on the ground made for a gorgeous hike. The landscape changed from a drier, scrubbier terrain to huge rocks and boulders with amazing views to winding down through thick forests along a beautiful stream...I definitely want to come back and take a dip in that water. It was truly a... More

While we've travelled in upstate NY a few times, we never heard of this place until this week. I was simply looking in the map for green areas to stop by during a long drive, and found this hidden gem. What a beautiful park ! With a glacial lake surrounded by cliffs, a beautiful forest, nice trails with amazing views... More

We started around the lake by the parking lot then hiked down Millbrooks trail and came back around Gertrude's Nose. Gertrude's nose is absolutely stunning. The overall hike took about 4 hours and it was amazing the whole way through.

This was a pleasant surprise. $8.00 entry fee per car. We walked around the lake [3-mile loop]. Great views of the lake and the Catskill Mountains in the distance. Very nice welcome center with helpful and knowledge staff. Great for walking and challenging biking.

Beautiful scenery. Hike by the lake, small swiming area there. Hike around the waterfall. Many picnic areas. Bring bug spray! And 8$ cash or check to get in the parking lot.
