I went to this beach because of the good reviews I read here but didn't love it. I have 2 small kids and even though we had Keens, they really needed water slip ins instead. I did notice the posts about the parking permit but forgot so we got a parking ticket for $150 and we had 2 cars there.... More

Protected beach offered less surf and was perfect for the grandkids. There are a lot of rocks on the beach. There are public toilets. You would need a parking permit. Our Hotel supplied it.

WeI love going to Gin beach in the morning with a cup of coffee, watching the fishing boats and ferries head out to sea. There is limited parking and restroom facilities at the beach. It's a beautiful place to walk , the landscape changes as the weather, some days calm and tranquil and others winds and waves.

This beach has very gentle waves so great for kids. Sandy generally with some pebbles/shells but they are not an issue. There is a restaurant within walking distance of the parking lot. There are outdoor showers next to the restrooms in the parking lot. There were lifeguards in July but no concession stand on the beach.

Gin Beach is opposite Gossmans Dock -across the channel. Good place for kids, not the big waves like at the main beaches. Tons of shells to search. The jetty is fun to walk out on. Watching the fishing boats go in and out is great. Campers are allowed down the beach for a fee. Note: if you are visiting, get... More

The beach was nice without many shells on the sand. But what i did dislike was that there was a lot of logs around.

This beach is usually uncrowded. It is located in a great area across from the Montauk Inlet Seafood Restaurant. There are lots of jelly fish here.

This has been our favorite beach for over 30 years. There are usually less waves and the walks on the beach with dog or kids is always fun, whether it be looking for beach glass, walking on the jetty or watching the sun set from the jetty. The views are spectacular - with the inlet on one side and the... More

Gin Beach faces the north fork so the sun is at your back. That being said, bring your beach umbrella. Sun is sun. Very small waves so it's great for the kids. The beach is a bit rocky and not nearly as pretty as the beaches in town. Worth a try with the kids. Parking permits a must. Bathroom facilities... More
