Lovely Beach

Went for a walk every morning I was there, and had a day on the beach the last day, very clean and water lovely and warm. Right across from the Inn I stayed in.

I grew up here, so I am biased. If you enjoy watching the boats coming in and out of the inlet, watching the sunset from the Jetty, walking miles along a curving strand of mostly deserted beach, exploring dunes with blueberry bushes and all sorts of wildlife, this is a good place for you to visit. It is much more... More

This is a different experience than the ocean beaches south of Montauk Highway, but lovely. Great for families: There are restrooms on site, tiny waves, roped off swimming area, and a life guard. It is not overflowing with hipsters drinking and playing frisbee. Lots of shells and multicolored rocks to delight beachcombers. Stunning sunsets! Water shoes highly recommended; this is... More

We went in late Sept. and I was dissapointed with the beach as it was deserted, slightly dirty and just a bit depressing.

Nobody there at the end of September. But there were trucks and motor homes on the beach in the State Park. So we paid the $40 to enter the State Park, and our 4 wheel drive Range Rover got stuck in the access road - we never made the beach. Took 1 1/2 hours and a tow from "Paul" to... More

This is a beautiful beach. You can collect shells, fly a kite or watch the boats come in and pass Gosmans.

Great little beach just off the inlet where the water gets a bit rough from the boat traffic. There's bathrooms and a food truck. You could walk the jetty from this beach.

At gin you are in another world! The constant marine life is abundant great for snorkeling and if you want to sit on your chair you won't be bored! The boats come out the inlet and turn right toward open water! It is a never ending movie to sit and watch boat after boat heading out ! All shapes all... More

We've been going to MTK for 35 + years, mainly on the ocean side. Now that were just a bit older, we sometimes go to Gin Beach for break form the crowds and the craziness on the ocean. The beach is a bit rocky so if you have water shoe's, bring them. The water is beautiful - clean and very... More

Calmer waters than the Atlantic (south) side of Montauk. Good for kids, especially younger ones. There is RV camping available further down the beach. Be mindful about having a parking pass- I saw enforcement come by pretty early (before 9am).
