Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The "beach" trail ride is nothing more than an hour of walking through the woods (which are infested with ticks) and when you finally reach the beach, you turn around immediately and head back into the woods and back to the barn. Total waste of money! The staff was also very rude... More

We took the 1.5-hr beach and trail ride for $85/person, started at nine in the morning. Most part of the tour was walking on beautiful trail and about 20 minutes of it was on the beach. Our guide Kate was quite nice, attentive and informative. She pointed out blackberries, deer tracks, Third House, Long Island Sound and answered our questions... More

My daughter and I had a fabulous time during our trail & beach horseback ride recently. David, our trail guide, was extremely helpful in all aspects of our experience. David is very knowledgable about the ranch and handling horses, and explains every step of the process, for both beginners and experienced riders, alike. I highly recommend this trip to anyone... Just being close to the horses was a fantastic feeling. Kane - who came all the way from Ireland to help the ranch in the summer - was a very kind and professional guide. Looking forward to going back in the autumn.

What an adventure! My son and I had virtually no previous experience riding horses and had a great time! The instructor/guide (Maria) was informative, helped us learn how to ride and guide the horses, also, she gave us information about the ranch, the trails, the terrain and the view. The beach view was fantastic, we could see the Montauk Lighthouse,... More

While on vacation in Montauk, we decided to go horse back riding and went to the Deep Hollow Ranch. My daughter and I are not avid riders but were just looking for a nice ride on what was a beautiful day. From the moment we got out of the car we were really made to feel welcome at this place.... We took the 1.5 hr ride for $75 per person, and we very pleased with the horses, the professionalism of the handlers and leader, and the trail down to the beach. Did not experience any horrific beach experience as listed in another review... just the beach, and some surf casters out enjoying the beach. We trotted a couple of times,... More

First off went riding today and my stirrups didnt fit right( I know this because I own my own horse!) they whispered I think you will be fine. I figured ok let me suffer for the next hour and a half. Second off our tour guide said because of some contract they are no longer allowed to gallop or canter... More

This was excellent. I am 65, my daughter is 35 and my granddaughter 8. We went for the short half hour trip as some of us had not been riding in 25 years and the eight year old had never been riding on a horse by herself. The horses were, of course, "oldies by goodies" as required for our experience.... More

Went here as part of a 12-person group and it was okay. I would have liked to canter or gallop, but due the varied levels of riding in the group, we walked most of the way with some trotting here and there. Most of the 1.5 hour trail ride was through wooded brush before spending about a 4-5 minute rather... More
