This has been a favorite family destination for many years. The kids loved running around the grounds and climbing to the top of the lighthouse. Scenery was breathtaking --straight out of a magazine--from sightings of seals to fishermen who had been surf casting bringing up their large catches. Our photos are amazing!

My husband and I hired bikes and had a great day cycling around Montauk. We found it fun and easy to cycle around Montauk park. I thought the warning signs as you enter about ticks and poison ivy were a good idea, as we are from the UK and not known what to look for. It has lots of natural... More

This was a great area. Being seaside was a peaceful experience. Playing on the rocks and beaches and walking through the landscape were fun.

Montauk Point is a beautiful place to visit. Pack a lunch and eat it along the the shoreline amongst some of the largest boulders of rock. Beautiful views from the lighthouse a must see.

This is a great place to come in both sunny and stormy weather. On a clear sunny day, you have great ocean views and a vista dominated by the Montauk Lighthouse. During stormy weather, it is fun to look out over the rough seas churning around the point of the island. The one bummer was the $8 parking charge and... More

It was so beautiful there. The lighthouse area is kept so nice. The flowers and trees are so colorful. We love to walk around the whole area.

In early June - which was evidently still pre-season, judging by the great availability of parking spots - we visited this easternmost point of Long Island. We paid $8 to park; keep your stub because you can get into other state parks same-day with your stub. Food was available at an indoor snack-bar. We paid $9 each to visit the... More
