Montauk Point is a beautiful place to visit. Pack a lunch and eat it along the the shoreline amongst some of the largest boulders of rock. Beautiful views from the lighthouse a must see.

You've come this far...Stop at the overlook-amazing sights. The lighthouse is beautiful and has a rich history worth learning.

This is a great place to come in both sunny and stormy weather. On a clear sunny day, you have great ocean views and a vista dominated by the Montauk Lighthouse. During stormy weather, it is fun to look out over the rough seas churning around the point of the island. The one bummer was the $8 parking charge and... More

It was so beautiful there. The lighthouse area is kept so nice. The flowers and trees are so colorful. We love to walk around the whole area.

In early June - which was evidently still pre-season, judging by the great availability of parking spots - we visited this easternmost point of Long Island. We paid $8 to park; keep your stub because you can get into other state parks same-day with your stub. Food was available at an indoor snack-bar. We paid $9 each to visit the... More

the light house is very unique. It is worth the walk to the top to take in the beauty of the ocean and shore line.

Park your car at Hero park and hike the trail along the coast and around the rocks of the lighthouse - a great little hike with amazing views!

Review for the Point Woods Loop Trail and the beginnings of Sea Haul Out Trail. Came here with a group of friends and 2 dogs. Online information for the start of the Point Woods Loop Trail was lacking. Here are the coordinates of the start of the trail: Good maps coordinates: 41.067931,-71.878987 As you drive on Camp hero Rd, you... More

My friend and I took a drive through Long Island, driving along Montuak Hwy through the Hamptons until reaching Montauk Point. It is at the end of the island. There is a restaurant and pier/boardwalk area which is good for watching for marine life. We saw a few seals or otters bobbing in the water (too far to tell what... More
