Aside from the impressive lighthouse, the park marks the very end of Long Island. You can watch the surf fishermen, harbor seals, birds, etc...from a number of great vantage points. There are trails to follow. (Watch out for ticks!) The park also has a restaurant in the summer season.
pros: panoramic views great place for a nice stroll scenic drive out to the area the swings! cons: parking fee expensive bar in the area lighthouse admission is expensive ultimately, a good place to kill a few hours. when we went it wasn't too busy as it was midweek.
