Well run well maintained state golf course. A challenging course for most. BUT, it is like two courses in one. If you tee off early, it is a nice and relatively straighforward course. Yes, there are some tough holes and it is not that forgiving if stray from the fairway on many holes. But, that same course in the afternoon... More

this beautiful course was built by carl fisher back in the 1920's and it still retains its original charm while giving the more experienced golfer a run for his money. the fairways are gorgeous as are the greens but if you stray into the rough you will certainly know you are there. the course plays long even from the middle... This is one of my favorite golf courses anywhere. I don't get to play it often enough because i am often disappointed by the accomadations in montauk like the ocean resort inn. but the golf course is fabulous. always interesting and challenging. and if the wind blows bring your "a" game with you!!!!

Delighful clean and an excellent swimming pool and area. Parking is nearby and the water is imaculate. The opark also offers a gold course that I have played and I can tell you it's a good enough challenge and well maintained. This park is recommended iof wanting a day at a clean pool rather than the ocean water.

While I have golfed here plenty of times, there is more than just golf for the family. They have a wonderful swimming pool that is open to the public. We come here when we want a change of pace from ocean swimming and hotel may not have a pool. It is very affordable, $5 for Adults, $3 for kids 6-12... More

My husband and I went here for a round of golf for his birthday. First, I'll say it is a nice course. It was pretty and well maintained, but it didn't blow me out of the water. The "service," however, was rude. I get that you have rules and need a NYS driver's license for the discounted rates. But how... More

The golf course is a state course but plays like a championship, privately run place. The pros give very good lessons and the course is well run and well maintained. The tennis academy is also first rate. The complex also has a pro shop, a swimming pool and a restaurant. Definitely give the course a try.

Played beautiful Downs course twice in one week. Both times we teeed off at 7am. Each round we played in 4.5 hours. The first day we had holes open in front of us and behind us. It was great. Nobody in sight either way. Four times in the round we were harrassed to play faster...but there's nobody behind us we... More
