This restaurant offers a lobster bake on Sundays and Mondays for $30. Good food and not a bad value. Would return again for certain.

Surfing and sun and seeing celebrities but parking is hard even with permit but worth the wait and having bond fires at night

We have been renting vacation homes here for many years. It is definitely crowded in the summer, but if you like to surf, you probably won't mind. Animal lovers will enjoy the mornings and evenings when dogs romp freely in the surf and the beach is wide open. Otherwise, spend an afternoon soaking up rays on your beach chair, but... More

You have to have a parking permit to surf here, there is no other parking near it, it was way too crowded so we had to park a mile away and walk down

It begins and ends at Ditch Plains as far as surfing. My daughter and husband took a surf lesson with the surf shop in Montauk. They drove them there (you need a beach permit to park there) and got them surfing. Had a great time!

The beach was beautiful and quiet. You can see the cliff from the entrance of the beach. The location is very convenient next to East Deck Motel. Very family friendly. There is a food truck with great food. A lot of surfers come to this part of Montauk. It's an amazing experience. What a view!

Ditch Plains was a great beach to swim, watch the surfers and take a LONG walk on the beach. Unfortunately because of Hurricane Sandy, the beach is in really bad shape. I sure hope either Mother nature or someone brings the sand back.

Its a little crowded, but great people watching. The surfers always put on a great show. I would say that you have to go at least once to experience it.
