I've been coming to ditch plains since I'm a fetus. It's one of the most serene and calming places on earth. Great surf, dogs allowed too! Everyone is always friendly as long as you respect the the beach. I look forward to many more years!

Heaven on earth. Beautiful weather and views ....away from the crowds. It's a great surfer beach and you can hike up a trail to Skidmore Park.

Great beach to visit while in Montauk. I was there on a Monday and the beach was crowded but with out people right on top of each other. There was bathrooms and a great food truck in the parking lot.

Those of us who live and surf ditch, for many years, have watched our break become a zoo of kooks, hipsters and obnoxious selfies who don't know how to surf cuz they never learned etiquette. You all have ruined the break, but it's such an easy wave that any moron can and does paddle out. We don't want you here,... More

Great morning waves to learn how to surf with Coreyswave - 516-639-4879. My daughter had so much fun with the instructor and actually did really well for a first timer!

This is the main surfer beach in Montauk, but it is easily accessible for anyone. It is a short drive up the highway from town, and off the main road a little ways. The parking lot is small and so get there early, you will need a pass. The hotel provided us with one so ask if yours does the... More

This beach is beautiful, but a little rocky so if you're attending without shoes, just be careful and aware of where you are stepping. The waves can get pretty big here and that brings all the extra people on season. But it's nice to grab a Ditch 'Witch and people watch amongst the beautiful waves. The surfers that come out... Famous for its surf spot. Beautiful only because I grew up here. The beach is terribly over crowed in the Sumer. Best time to go is the winter.
