Stopped in bc TripAdvisor recommended as a tourist destination site. We recently moved to Pelham, and as this was our first trip to the Hamptons, we had to check it out!

We have been coming to Montauk for years and never go to the lighthouse. It was worth the trip this time. We climbed to the top and what a gorgeous 365 degree view from up there. We hiked down a trail to the water and it was just beautiful. All in all, worth going at least once.

You have to be right there for the view of this Long Island treasure. We love to visit lighthouses and this is one of our favorites.

Nice activity to do on a cloudy day. For a $9 fee you are allowed to climb 100+ steps to the top of the Lighthouse and step outside on the platform to snap pictures of the beautiful view. It is nice to see if you are already in Montauk.

Nice way to start the day. We really enjoyed the site and the views, very pretty and relaxing place. Be prepared to pay $8 to enter the state park plus $9 each adult to have access to the lighthouse. If we ever go back to this state park I don't think we would pay to go inside the lighthouse again,... More

View was to die for. Watching surfing, fishing and generally things changing around you all the time. Beautiful area, quaint, historic buildings. Everything you need is there. We were staying at Sagaponack (this is a truly a tranquil place to visit and stay - right on beach) so only short drive

The weather was perfect the day we arrived. It is a must see. I could sit there all day. We went after dark to see the light. It was cool to hear the waves in the distance.

Liked the hiking, disliked that it closed so early in the evening. The views are spectacular, the crowds manageable .

Great place to spend a couple of hours. Nice views, nice beach area. Great place to take pictures. This is a historic spot. It is the oldest lighthouse in NY.
