Located at the true END of Long Island, Montauk Lighthouse is the picture of a quintessential New England lighthouse. Leave some time for hiking down to the beach and exploring the area. Stunning views and a peaceful setting - don't miss it.

Lovely drive from Montauk Manor to the lighthouse - found that you have to pay to use the car park ($8) if visiting the lighthouse and then also pay to enter $19 per adult - I can understand beach users paying to park but visitors to the lighthouse on trips should have either nil charge or reduced rates.

Took our son and his girlfriend. Had a perfect day for a perfect view. Loved the museum. Everyone should come here at least once. Love the walk on the shore and chats with the fishermen.

I am a fine art painter, and the views from here have given inspired several of my paintings. This is also an intertesting place to visit, with a great history.

A trip to "The End " is not to be missed , we chose not to pay the $9.00 TO GO UP INTO THE LIGHT HOUSE BUT CHOSE to take the walk along the beach and around the lighthouse jetty .it was excellent!

Admit prices (parking and lighthouse separate charges) high but nearby paths free. Very narrow steps up inside lighthouse. At top you can take a few steps out but can't walk all way around light.

this lighthouse on the tip of Long Island is quite beautiful. The view is something that should not be missed. The climb up the Lighthouse is less than 200 steps and the picture postcard view that you get is priceless. The whole setting is gorgeous. You can see Block Island, parts of Connecticut and the opposite point on Long Island... More

This was a beautiful place with the ocean as the back drop. The beach around the lighthouse was stunning. Just a little disappointed it was necessary to pay to park in order to walk to see the sites. Plus, it opened at 10:30 but the information I found online had stated they opened at 10am. I did not have time... More

Good old-fashioned lighthouse. A bit picky about what bag you can take in. If you have a small backpack, call it a camera bag and you should be ok!
