A must see even if just passing through. Can only sail one half the lake since the bridge was built. Still worth the fair.

This paddle wheel steamboat has been resurrected from the scrap pile and offers a wonderful 2-hour ride along the shores of Lake Chautauqua, with a stop at the historic Chautauqua Institution. This is a wonderful opportunity to view the scenic vistas of the Institute, and hear some interesting historical narration along the way. The crew was extremely accommodating, friendly, and... More

Let me start off by saying I work with the public and I understand how demanding they can truly be. I also understand that everyone has an off day, but if you just don't hold personnel skills, you should not be working with the public. That being said, I walked away disappointed in the personnel skills of what I am... More

We had a great time visiting the Chautauqua Belle. Was a relaxing ride. Bring cash for faster entry to the boat. $10 for lunch and you get a sandwich, chips, drink and a cookie--a good deal. The staff was courteous and polite. We learned much about the Chautauqua region from the narration. My only suggestion is to improve the speaker... More

Weather and narrative was great. Enjoyed sights of Chautauqua and having grown up in the area really brought back memories.

We rode this lovely steamship as part of a one day bus trip. Lunch was provided on board and was delicious. The staff was friendly and most helpful. Lots of fun information was given during the taped narration. Very enjoyable.

The Chautauqua Belle is one of only 4 remaining steamships. This ride on Chautauqua Lake is a fun and enlightening time. The 2-hr. ride goes from Mayville to the bell tower at Chautauqua and back (or from the bell tower to Mayville and back) and takes about 2 hours. Along the way you'll hear an interesting narrative about Chautauqua and... More

Narration went along with sights we were viewing at the time, even though it was taped. The captain would stop the tape occasionally to add his own interesting facts. Thank goodness the "Belle" was saved from destruction and refurbished for these rides.

Nice trip on and old steam driven boat. Great narrated story about the area and its history. Great staff. For the 2 hours and $20 bucks, it was very enjoyable.

Took to wife on the Chautauqua Belle for the 3rd time this past Sunday afternoon. I must say that it was just what I needed to finish off a perfect vacation week. I love being on vessels of this size and also enjoy the fact that once I am off of it I don't have to take care of it.... More
