One of the true icons of modern day Long Island. Ed Harbes along with his wife Monica and their large brood have developed their roadside farmstand into a juggernaut of fresh vegetables, sweet corn (which he almost singlehandedly made famous in these parts), country hands-on entertainment, and, now, from what I understand, a vineyard. I speak in the past tense... More

Delicious corn on the cob. Best on LI. My family comes from Georgia and North Carolina just for the corn. My brother also took a few bushels back with him to Cananadaigua.

I went with a school group. This was an excellent value. $12 included a hayride throughout the farm accompanied by a singer, pumpkin picking (including 1 pumpkin), animal farm, playground, and picnic tables.

I stopped at Harbes Farm over the weekend while visiting the North Fork with some friends. We loved this place! They have several locations and offer Fall Festival activities for the whole family. Here you can purchase your pumpkins, marigolds, mums, fresh vegetables, apples, cider, homemade pies and roasted corn. There are activities for the kids such as mazes and... More

My wife and I used to visit this farm stand about 4 times during the season but after being ripped off, several times we found another, more consumer friendly, stand on the main road. Now for my complaint; On 3 occasions we purchased their dozen ears of sweet corn in a mesh bag and the cost was more than the... More

This "farmstand" is always too crowded and too expensive - we have tried to visit twice in the fall but the traffic is always backed up for miles. It's really not worth the trip or time - there are much better ways to spend time on the North Fork.

My girlfriend and I called the day before around 2 hours before Harbes closed and asked if there were still apples left for picking for the following morning. They assured us that there were plenty and recommended we leave early in the morning to avoid holiday traffic. We arrived 15 minutes before they opened the next morning (took us an... More

I'm sorry our apple supply wasn't to your expectations. We truly do our best to grow our apples during the season and communicate whats available to pick, but inevitably nature has a way of throwing our projections off. But I'm happy you found Woodside too. We continually strive to deliver our best that our family can deliver, I'm sorry you... More

We visited after leaving another place. It was crowded but not overwhelming. There is a ton for kids to do, including pony rides, hay rides, and crafts. Great atmosphere.

Hour long lines Incredibly unfriendly staff Don't waste your time battling the traffic. Waited an hour for a hay ride. Because of an earlier "incident" an entire group got to cut the line. So... They knew there was an issue and did nothing to correct it. Poor management to say the least. Buy a few pumpkins throw them in the... More
