Don't expect peaceful unless you show up at the crack of dawn and even then it's questionable. A very nice multi-purpose park and family spot, but it can be crowded at peak times of the day and weekends. Sometimes the ecology of the lake creates a terrible smell that is a turnoff as well.

Drove thru the Lights on the Lake last night after eating at Heids of Liverpool. The lights were amazing!

This is a great place. Lights on the Lake is a good drive through. Running is the best. The trails are nice and marked. The scenery is great for running, blading, or walking.

I enjoy the size of the park that surrounds Onondaga Lake. The East trail is open all year. The West and West extension trails are open but not plowed in the winter. It's a great place to go running!

The Onondaga Lights on the Lake festival is the largest Christmas light show in the northeast. This is drive through the park is 45 minutes of Christmas spectacular. It is best when there is a lite snow falling. Admission is $10 per car. A definite must see.

The walking and biking trails are wonderful. Great place to go as a single or with family or friends. Perfect for all ages. After your walk, sit on a bench and watch the gorgeous sunset and feed the geese. Also fun in the winter for Lights on the Lake. A must see once the snow falls.

My sister lives in Liverpool, so we decided to visit Onondaga Lake. We were going to walk on the paths around the lake, but due to time we just found a nice area with a bench to sit on while her little boy threw rocks in the lake, then visited the playground. The area is really nice, and the playground... More

I ran in this park this morning and found it peaceful, pleasant and flat. The view was nice and the whole area aesthetically pleasing.

Every time I'm back in the Syracuse area, I always make time to get my walks in along the walkways in Liverpool next to Onondaga lake. It's a safe and serene place to enjoy a brisk walk.
