This park that sits outside the city of 'Syracuse is like a nice break from the bustles of everyday life. You can walk it, bike it, skate it, picnic there, fish there, boat there or just relax there. You can watch the high school and college row teams practice there. Your dogs can play at the Goodtime Park. If you want... More

Wonderful walking trail, take a ride on the tram for those who cannot make the walk still enjoy the beautiful views of the water. See the Salt Museum (explains why Syracuse is called the Salt City) Visit the French Fort, Play shuffle board or rent a bike. Pack a lunch or bring a steak (lots of grills) perfect place for... Location: 6790 Onondaga Lake Trail, Liverpool Cost: Free, but some activities may charge. Layout: A multi recreation area with a long, wide paved trail along the lake. There is a very nice children's playground and next to it is a place that you can rent bikes by the half hour or hour. They also have a version of tandem bikes... More

I go to Onondaga lake park all the time as a local. It's a great place to walk, ride your bike, roller blade, skateboard whatever. There's a salt museum, skate park, benches and bathrooms along the way, a playground, and little place at the end before heading back and there are trams all along the way to pick you up.... More

Onondaga Lake Park is a large and very diverse park that offers something for just about everyone. Walking, biking, running, paddling, baseball, kickball...you name it! It also has a large skateboard park, a huge kid's are with all kinds of swings and slides and stuff, and lots more. Sometimes it's fun to just come and watch the sunset, or feed... More

Nice place to go for a run. 5 mile paved path by lake. Cleared even in winter. Heid's hot dogs by the park is a side benefit.

I've been here a number of times to find the local geocaches. We stopped on our way through so our girls to stretch their legs and play on the Wegmans park. Very nice, very clean.

we love taking the bikes and roller blades to the park. We have been going for years. Nice road for exercise by the lake. Green spaces, pavilions, tables & grills for picnics. Lots of parking. Playground for the little ones.

Don't expect peaceful unless you show up at the crack of dawn and even then it's questionable. A very nice multi-purpose park and family spot, but it can be crowded at peak times of the day and weekends. Sometimes the ecology of the lake creates a terrible smell that is a turnoff as well.
