I visited the Shrine with my grandchildren, ages 6 and 9, because I heard there was a holiday light display. It was just beautiful. Be sure to take the stairs to the top of the Shrine to see all of the lights below. Also, inside be sure to walk around as there are separate little chapels where you can light... More

I wanted to see the Festival of Lights before they closed for the season, and I thought tonight was the final night. It wasn't and unfortunately tonight was VERY cold. I enjoyed it anyways. The gift shop is lovely. The basilica is gorgeous. The light are magnificent. I hope to visit in warm weather to see what it all looks... More

Christmas lights at the shrine were very pretty. It was neat to walk up to the top of the shrine and B&B lookout and all the Christmas lights.

It's a bit hard to find in a north east corner of Lewiston, but if you are on Route 18, there is a large sign at the corner of Swann Road. Just head a bit east and it's on your left. Plenty of free parking with easy access to three areas - the gift shop/cafeteria complex (with washrooms), the worship... More

The shrine is absolutely beautiful. It is so peaceful, quiet, and a great place to get next to the Blessed Mother. The shrine and all the grounds are beautiful. The various chapels are beautiful and tranquil. The gift shop is very large and has almost everything you would like to have. The cafeteria was closed when we went, but we... More

We were lucky to be there just in time for Mass. Great area to visit. Very peaceful and meditative. The grounds are just beautiful. Would highly recommend.

This is a very lovely place where you can meditate, visit a church and attend Mass if it is on when you are there or just visit the grounds and the extensive gift shop which is full of religious items not found in other stores. I was able to purchase holy water fonts for my nephew and niece and I... More

My first visit was during the Christmas holidays; a busy time for the Basilica. Despite the large number of visitors, a reverence filled the entire area. Statues of saints surround the grounds with beautiful lighting. A larger-than-life sized rosary serves as a reflecting pool. The Basilica itself, is populated by small intimate shrines for prayer and inspiration. Lovely! You can... More

The shrine is a copy of the original in Europe and is absolutely beautiful! The atmosphere is so peaceful and refreshing. There is also a gift shop with lots of articles as well as meeting rooms. Take your time and stop and get refreshed.

The church at this shrine is very unusual--a dome with a very large statue on top. There's a big stairway that allows you to climb to the top. From the inside you can see that the dome is actually--no, I won't tell. Be surprised. The gardens are quite pretty, and lined with dozens of statues depicting beloved Catholic personages. The...
