Okay, first of all we didn't actually go into the area, because we'd read it wasn't at all worth it. But we went down the road towards the area to see if we could see the river and took a picture (it wasn't much of a view from there but still). The guy at the entrance then popped his head...

Dear Elsie, sorry to hear about your experience at the Source of the Nile, however just to help us improve our service kindly let me know if this incident happened on the Jinja side of the Nile or at our location which is on the other side of the River BEFORE you cross over the big bridge, where the actual...

The people were very friendly, the kids were all smiling and you really feel like they are happy to meet you and want to talk to people from other countries in the world and learn what else is out there. great souvenirs (all hand made). A natural experience experience.

When in the Jinja area, a visit to "The Source of the Nile Gardens" and the Speke monument is well worth making. It's on the left bank of the Nile as it leaves Lake Victoria, so if coming from Kampala, turn off to the right just before the Nile Dam/Bridge and follow signs for the Kingfisher Safari Resort (also well...
