You simply MUST stop by this place for a few tasty treats on your way in our out of Lake Placid (it is a longgg car ride from NYC). By far some of the best cheese selections that I have ever had (must try the beemster!!!!)
Also highly recommend the chocolate croissants, made a perfect snack for the drive home...

My wife and I took a trip with some friends up to Lake Placid (my first). We were walking around the downtown area and jumped into Lake Placid Gourmet.
Gourmet? Indeed it was. Temptations? Oh yeah, you betcha. Lots of them. The cheeses were diverse - we picked up 4 and enjoyed them all. The desserts... oh the desserts... just...
