Wilderness beauty. Adirondack history. Serenity. Cruise the pristine waters of Lake Placid in one of our enclosed pontoon boats. The hour-long, narrated tour travels 16 miles on one of the world's most beautiful lakes. See and hear about the stately manors situated along the shore, Adirondack wildlife, and Whiteface Mountain, site of the alpine events during the 1980 Winter Olympic Games. A Lake Placid boat tour is a must for all visitors to the Adirondacks. Rain or shine, it is truly a delightful experience.

This was worth every penny $16.00 very fun and informative. Really the only way your probably going to get a good look at lake placid. Get up close to truly amazing homes and hear the history and interesting facts about the Adirondacks and the park. Highly recommend!

A must for Lake Placid views and history. The hour long tour covers the range of the lake and the most salient points about its history and life in the lakes many camps and exclusive lodes or hotels.

We took a one hour tour while on vacation in the area. The tour went completely around the lake and was enjoyable. We had a good boat operator and tour guide. You must put on a credit card they do not take cash. Try while you are in vacation in the area not far out of town

My wife and I visited Lake Placid in June 2015 and went on a boat tour of Lake Placid. The boat is a pontoon boat with metal chairs. the boat is a bit older with a few rips and tears. The tour guide was great. He really made the trip better. I would definitely recommend this to our friends.

The boat tour of the Lakes was absolutely wonderful! We saw many of the homes right on the water that can't be accessed by anything but boat....very cool! Our Captain was tremendous! He gave us not only a tour of the area and a chat about some of the interesting history of the Lakes, he was also quite entertaining! The... More

Took our granddaughters on the one hour ride around Lake Placid and her islands. Very relaxing with a very knowledgeable guide. Great views of Whiteface Mountain and all the camps located around the Lake.

This attraction needs better advertisement locally as we never would have known about it without Trip Advisor information ahead of our visit to Lake Placid. There are no signs pointing your way there or advertising it either until to get to the Marina parking lot itself...located halfway around Mirror Lake from the entrance point to Mirror Lake Drive. The parking... More

If you don't have friends with a boat, then this is one of the best ways to see the lake. The ride is long enough to enjoy being out on the water and the "patter" is pretty interesting, although some of the jokes are a bit corny,

This was a very worthwhile and informative boat tour around Lake Placid. We were pleasantly surprised that Lake Placid with its surrounding mountains was so beautiful! The water is clear and clean enough to drink (and is a water supply for the Region). Obviously this is a very desirable place to hang your hat, as exemplified by the numerous Adirondack... More
