Wilderness beauty. Adirondack history. Serenity. Cruise the pristine waters of Lake Placid in one of our enclosed pontoon boats. The hour-long, narrated tour travels 16 miles on one of the world's most beautiful lakes. See and hear about the stately manors situated along the shore, Adirondack wildlife, and Whiteface Mountain, site of the alpine events during the 1980 Winter Olympic Games. A Lake Placid boat tour is a must for all visitors to the Adirondacks. Rain or shine, it is truly a delightful experience.

Big comfortable boat tour around lake placid. corny, but fun tour guide drives the boat and gives some local anecdotes. although kids are free it's not that toddler/infant friendly as they can't really run around and it's not that "exciting"... good for older kids to see some beauty, but probably best for adults.

Excellent narration, beautiful views of the lake, mountains, camps, and state land. There is free parking at the marina and restrooms in the building located at the pier. We paid $33 for two adult admissions. I heard that there is a $1 coupon you may be able to find at kiosks located in the village.

We took a 1 hour boat tour of Lake Placid - we really enjoyed it. The captain filled us in on the history of Lake Placid, told us info about the beautiful homes on the the lake. He was pretty entertaining. Get there early or it may be sold out. We had to go twice to get tickets. Worth the... More

This was worth every penny $16.00 very fun and informative. Really the only way your probably going to get a good look at lake placid. Get up close to truly amazing homes and hear the history and interesting facts about the Adirondacks and the park. Highly recommend!

A must for Lake Placid views and history. The hour long tour covers the range of the lake and the most salient points about its history and life in the lakes many camps and exclusive lodes or hotels.

We took a one hour tour while on vacation in the area. The tour went completely around the lake and was enjoyable. We had a good boat operator and tour guide. You must put on a credit card they do not take cash. Try while you are in vacation in the area not far out of town

My wife and I visited Lake Placid in June 2015 and went on a boat tour of Lake Placid. The boat is a pontoon boat with metal chairs. the boat is a bit older with a few rips and tears. The tour guide was great. He really made the trip better. I would definitely recommend this to our friends.

The boat tour of the Lakes was absolutely wonderful! We saw many of the homes right on the water that can't be accessed by anything but boat....very cool! Our Captain was tremendous! He gave us not only a tour of the area and a chat about some of the interesting history of the Lakes, he was also quite entertaining! The... More
