We had a wonderful time! Everyone was great! Loved the horses. I would definitely go for first time riders or just to take a relaxing ride. Thanks Saddle Up Stables!

This is an experience that is geared towards young children and those who have never before been on a horse. The smallest in our group enjoyed their pony rides, and the adults who had never before sat atop a horse had fun on their trail rides. The staff were all friendly and helpful; the horses appeared well cared for. However,... More

The highlight of our trip to Lake George was Saddle Up Stables. My husband and I were both beginners and the staff was great and made us feel very comfortable. We were able to get on horses right away and had a beautiful time on a private tour (only myself, my husband and our guide) through the mountains. The ride... More

In reading the reviews a few of them said you were pricey. If they only knew the cost of the insurance they would think again...... There is also the cost of grooming the trails, food vet bills and the friendly staff. Look around and see what you have and are very fortunate to have at your beck and call. There... More

My four year old daughter rode a pony 4 out of 5 mornings that we were in Lake George. The last day, she was asking to ride a horse a that is a little bigger after she was done riding the pony, which she was allowed to do! Thank you for being so accommodating and allowing my daughter to have... More

So happy you had a great time. Even though we do get many great experienced riders here, we still want to make sure we go over all safety and riding instructions with everyone. We try our best to have nice trails and good horses for our customers to ride. Hope you can come back again to ride at Saddle Up. More

Was a nice ride and our guide was friendly. I thought the price was a tad high ($50 for an hour long ride). Horses really just play follow the leader. Nice for a beginner rider.

Thanks for the response. Our trails are constantly being worked on to make them the best trails in the area. We specialize in views of Lake George from our trails that other stables don't offer. The horses are trained to follow, because we have many people who have never experienced horseback riding and need a gentle horse to ride. I... More

My family and I went on the first ride of the day, the variety of horses was impressive and you could really tell how well the horses were taken care of. The staff was friendly and well mannered. Although we informed them we have experience riding, they treated us like beginners. BUT their job is to ensure a safe ride... More

We went to Saddle Up Stables unprepared for the ride. Even though the website said wear long pants we came in shorts. The guide was kind enough to let us run down to WalMart and purchase longer pants which are very much needed due to the brush. The trails were excellent. Highly recommend.

We went horseback riding at Saddle Up Stables in 2013, and were sure to return again for another ride during our vacation in Lake George in 2014. It's one of our favorite activities that we 'must do' while in the area. Family owned and operated for almost 70 years. Everyone is cheerful and helpful. Well-trained, well-mannered, well-cared for horses. Last... More
