I also have parents who grew up in Johnson City. Both of my grandparents worked at the shoe factory. We used to go up there every summer. What at wonderful time that was. The park was out of this world! It was a big park! It had all kinds of rides, a huge swimming pool, the merry go round, etc....

My Dad grew up in Johnson City, my grandparents worked at the shoe factory. We visited JC every summer when I was a kid the carousel was always my favorite (greene's field pool was another favorite! and the little shops on Harry L. Dr. where I would buy candy) Those were the days!
