Lucy, Desi, Ethel and Fred all together again in one place in Lucy's hometown! The Center gives a full biographical sketch for both Lucy and Desi in a panorama of pictures and narrative accounts. Early starts by both into radio and television were unsuccessful until they came together in "I Love Lucy" series that made them household icons for a... More

We really enjoyed revisiting the past through the artifacts in this well organized "museum" ... fun things like props and sets from the popular TV

Lucy … you’re home! That is, in Jamestown New York, the hometown and final resting place of America’s favorite sitcom red head, Lucille Ball. Nestled on the shores of scenic Lake Chautauqua, Jamestown is about an hour southwest of Buffalo, not far from the Pennsylvania border and in the heart of Lake Erie grape region, wineries and all. Once a... More

If you're in the area, or if you're really a fan, this is worth the trip. We got the headphones for all of us, but probably could have shared or done without them and saved some money.

We last visited more than 10 years ago. Since then, the spaces seems like it doubled, the exhibits have become more professionally curated (but less personal), and the focus is more on the shows rather than Lucy and Desi. There are plenty of memorabilia like the dress Lucy wore to this and the music Desi signed for that. The recreated... More

I read other reviews and I agree with most of what is written. It was worth a tour. There are various items that belonged to Lucille Ball on exhibit. Seeing the Emmy Awards was great, as was the recreation of two of the sets from the TV series. It would have been more rewarding if a guide would have lead... More

My friends and I decided on a road trip to visit the Lucille Ball - Desi Arnaz Center. It is located in the middle of Jamestown. There is no parking specifically for the museum. We had to park on the street. Admission is $15 and covers two Museums. (They do give a AAA discount of $1.) The first museum is... More

Given the character being celebrated here, one might have imagined a fun exhibit, full of life, energy and laughter. Not so. We found mundane collections of ephemera accompanied by poor quality audio recordings which might have explained the significance of some of it, had we been able to hear what was being said. I felt the center was a lacklustre... More

I am a lifelong Lucy and Desi fan, was born same day same year as their daughter Lucie. I loved this museum experience!

I never got past the gift shop which was so tacky I didn't waste my money on the tour. After reading other reviews I am glad I did not. Various items in the shop seemed to have little to do with Lucy and Desi than just "what can we slap their names on today" merchandise. I made myself a penny... More
