The market has roughly 165 vendors who all live within 30 miles of Ithaca. About 5,000 people visit the Market weekly during the 4 days it’s open (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday). At the Market, you could do all of your grocery shopping in this one location. We saw everything from potatoes, honey, jewelry, meat, wood-fired pizza, dairy, fruits and... More

A fabulous location. We have been here dozens of times over the years. There are lots of wonderful vendors with fresh and healthy foods of all sorts. Lunch here is a bit pricey but very tasty and on a nice day go out in the lawn along the inlet and enjoy a tasty meal with beautiful surroundings. Even in late... More

This may be the biggest Farmers Market you have ever been to. It nay be the most diverse. The most scenic. Great site, great food. Wine and crafts. Okay, the parking is awful. Go early. Or, just plan for it. But it is worth the gridlock, believe me. Plan on buying the days groceries there, and a bottle of wine,... More

The Ithaca Farmers' Market is one of the best in the country as per several guests who have visited them across the country. An idea can be had by perusing Mike Turback's Farmers Market Cookbook which lists the vendors and their specialties. Not only vegetables, fruits, meats but specialties like honeys, cheeses, ciders and more. It is worth visiting over... More

Very few vendors there today but everyone was extremely friendly. The Warm Apple Cider and Cider Doughnuts were Fresh and Amazing! Enough reason alone, to go to this market whenever your in the area.

I strongly disagree with the previous reviewer. The market is not a waste of time. The Ithaca Farmers Market offers locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as lovely flower bouquets. One can sample hard cider and wines from local wineries. Often there are local musicians providing enjoyable melodies. There are many artisans and food vendors. And the market... More

There was less vendors set up being November but still had a large selection of fresh vegetables. The smells of the food being cooked and sold was amazing. There is variety of food to eat as well. I was jealous of the locals loading up their baskets and bags of fresh cut flowers, dried wreathes and seasonal vegetables.

We were in town for family weekend, and decided to check out the market. It was a great stop. Lots of great vendors selling seasonal fruits and vegetables, plus other vendors selling other types of food items, as well as interesting crafts. The setting on the river was especially nice. Everyone was very friendly.

First, the bad news: there's really not enough parking. After that? Lots of appealing produce, cheese, crafts, and meats. There's some tempting food counters ... my wife had an excellent wood fired pizza, and I had a wonderful Cuban sandwich. Bring a cooler.

The Farmers Market might better be called the Ithaca Craftsman Market. In addition to beautiful farm produce people sell all kinds of craft items ranging from pottery to wood carvings to cheese. The vendors are eager to talk about their craft. In that way it is as much a fair as a market. As with most markets it pays to... More
