Just came back from a trip to the Plantations today. It is a wonderful spot to visit anytime of year, but particularly in the summer and autumn. Beautiful gardens, lovely arboretum, and a very nice little visitor center/gift shop. One of the jewels of the Cornell campus. $5 tours are available in the summer.

Very nice gardens to walk in if you have an afternoon or two to spend. I visited them during spring, they had gorgeous flowers and blossoming trees :) Definitely a must-do if you are here for a long time, but probably inferior to the waterfalls around Ithaca if you are here only for one or two days.

Free parking if you go far enough away from the main building. Nice landscape that really soothes the eyes.

The herb garden is especially interesting as it contains such a huge variety of plants. Fun to visit at any time of the year.

If one is into natural beauty they should visit this well groomed and taken care of Plantation. All the roads here are paved with ample parking areas through out the Plantation. I do not know about any bathrooms but there are several benches though out for one to relax and view the beauty of this plantation. There are several signs... More

We spent several hours on a beautiful summer afternoon wandering around Cornell Plantations. Highly recommended! The various garden and farm areas are all interesting. There's a free, useful map. We loved our time here!

Long-time loved place for Cornellians. Bring your lunch box and enjoy the season when spring(fall) comes.

We visited Cornell Univ. Plantations, a massive, never ending adventure of botanicals, overlooks, trails and serenity. I'm a flower lover so we headed out to the botanical gardens. It was breathtaking and well cared for. A perfect sunny day, quiet on wknd morning, I photographed and inhaled the beauty! You can take a drive all around the plantation and decide... More
