Superb!

I walk all the time in the Plantations, often on different paths. No matter the season, there's always a different feel to it. I love it.

Good place to go if you're interested in trees or just want to take a quiet walk. Nice to take kids and teach names of trees and plants. I really liked it.

The gardens are beautiful and individual plants are well marked. However, we had some difficulty finding the trails and figuring out where they ended. The day that we went the welcome center was closed but the place was still very much alive with children's groups and visitors. After visiting the gardens it's an easy drive to other parts of the... The Cornell Plantations is a jewel. Individual actions exhibit individual landscaping; the stream has a superb collection of flowers; the area across from the stream is a paradise of color; the pond has beautiful water flowers. Even when there's nothing in bloom, the large variety of trees provides a wonderful escape. Great walking trails, too

The Plantations is an excellent spot to visit if you are visiting Ithaca. There are plenty of well-maintained trails to follow, and the grounds are well-kept and absolutely stunning. The best times to visit are definitely during the fall when the leaves are changing colors and in early to mid spring. Consider bringing a lunch with you to the chimes,... More

You'll have to come in the late spring/early summer if you really want to see the flowers in bloom. But even in the early spring and fall, there are wonderful walking tours through forests and gardens. Well documented, with plant signs, etc. You can drive through the area if you like but it's best to get close to nature. Wonderful... More

There's a lot to see here. First we enjoyed the botanical gardens. Afterward, we walked through much of the plantation area and saw various kinds of shrubs and trees, ponds with cattails, and scenic overlooks. There are places to pull off and view various areas if you're driving, so you can walk as much or as little as you like.... More

As an avid gardener, I wanted to really absorb all that it had to offer. Spring is a great time to visit when so many plants are in bloom.
