My husband and I just walked around the arboretum this weekend. We were reading all the tree tags, guessed to see if we remembered from the last time and enjoyed the road walk by the water to hear the stream flow. Educational and relaxing plus is close to downtown where we stay.

Well maintained and designed professional gardens and horticulture display commensurate with what you'd expect from Cornell. Descriptive plaques are helpful for those visitors who are not familiar with exotic specimens. Gift shop is worth visiting.

A very picturesque are with lots of foliage and plantings. We went in November so nothing was in bloom and most everything is dormant. One can see the beauty of the plantations. Many sitting areas that overlook them.

A lovely place to visit any time of the year. You can't access it by car once there is snow on the ground. The two-mile hiking loop is a perfect way to de-stress.

Went during Parent's weekend in late fall. Much of the specimens were dormant already, not so pretty to view at this time of the year.

An amazing assortment of garden delights, including a winter garden whose plant selections are meant for the long cold upstate frost season. This garden is all about bones, barks, and evergreens. Lovely red-bark shrubs, elegant weeping trees, and hardy creepers make for lovely contained viewing. The arboretum includes a remarkable Andy Goldsworthy installation, a holocaust memorial consisting of three trees... More

We visited in the summer.... wonderful place and you can bring your dog. Beautiful beautiful gardens definitely worth the time. Not too big and overwhelming either.

Cornell's extensive plantations have everything from a beautifully laid-out herb garden to hiking trails through attractive woods. Instructive demonstrations reveal the research and educational aspects of the plantations, with sidewalks that capture and cleanse rainwater as well as prevent puddling and natural ground covers for lawns.
