Cornell Plantations is a series of lovely and well-planned gardens and plantings, one leading to the next so naturally that you don't realize how far you've walked. We did not go all the way through the property, which includes arboretums as well. The gift shop is very good with some nice offerings like honey. We were there on a cloudy... More

Like walking through the gardens in an Alice in Wonderland fairytale, the Cornell Plantation gardens are a real treat that show its Ag School roots. The students and faculty do an excellent job planting the gardens and it is a nice stroll walking around seeing the various plantings and flowers in such a relaxed atmosphere. It is a nice way... We picnicked here after getting some sandwiches at Hal's Deli off the Commons. Unfortunately my camera battery died and I only have 3 photos to share. The ponds, the wildflower garden and the arboretum are well worth a visit and we took our little dog Dougal as well, who enjoyed the roast beef from my sandwich and sniffing at every... More

This is a fine e star wow. Gardens are a work of art. Spent a few hours soaking in the wonders of this beautiful nature preserve. The plants and trees are very well marked. Just lovely.

Large beautiful setting with lots of indigenous plants, flowers, and trees. We could've easily spent all day there taking pictures and walking the grounds. Already planning our next trip to Ithica.

This is a wonderful place to take a leisurely walk by yourself, with friends or your dog or just relax and read a book. Ride your bike. Well kept landscape and trails. Parking abundant. In the winter it is a great place to sled or cross country ski

The flower garden is vast and beautiful. If one continues out the back of the garden and across the road there is a large network of walking trails through the different landscapes that runs next to the river. There are many places to park and loops to do. The arboretum is one of my favorite place to go on walks... More

This area used to be a bit of a wasteland...it is absolutely gorgeous now. The ponds the open fields of green and especially the unique sculptures that are found from the Cornell Arts and Architecture program created in the 1960's !!
