Pretty setting. We were "squeezed" into a tasting with 3 other couples who had already started. Our pourer said we would try those he had out on the counter but could add in others that we wanted to try. We ended up tasting all the wines that the others at our tasting wanted to try which was fine. Just seemed... More

Lucas was the first local vineyard that my husband and I visited after moving to the Finger Lakes area of NY State. We return at least once a year. There's nothing better than taking a ride up Cayuga Lake on a beautiful summer day, stopping at Lucas for the spectacular view and the superb wines. I prefer their dry whites,... More

We are staying in the area for a couple weeks & were looking for a relaxing winery with awesome views - we found it at LUCAS which is one of the oldest wineries in the area! Everyone was super friendly & we enjoyed a nice bottle of semi sweet wine! Also very dog friendly! Check them out - Cayuga Lake... More

Always had a pleasant experience at this winery. We love the dry Rieslings here and the staff at this winery are very nice.

I believe that Lucas is the oldest winery on Cayuga Lake. They make some nice wines but some clunkers too so you have to know what is what there. For just simple everyday wines you can't beat the Blues and for sangria, Tugboat White or Red will do just fine. The semi-dry Reisling is top notch and very good value... More

We were traveling up to Seneca and saw the sign for Lucas and popped in. Good thing we did. What a gorgeous little place. The wines were ALL good. Every one of them. From dry to sweets, there is something for everyone. The young lady that waited on us was knowledgeable about the wines, helpful and friendly. The little wine... More

Lucas is the oldest winery in Cayuga Lake and has definitely earned its place in NY wine country. The tasting room is nice & quaint, with two large tasting "bars" that fit ~10-12 people each. It gets a little cramped since it's a popular place, so call ahead for tasting reservations. We had a group of 10, so we just... More

If you are visiting wineries in the area, Lucas Vineyards is NOT to be missed. Other posters have cited issues with their product, but I visit often and have tasted them all, and there is a wine for EVERY palate - from dry full bodied reds and crisp whites to sweet juicy blends as well as frosty wine slushies! A... More

Very well managed tasting room. Their selection of wines were just much too sweet for my liking and generally unimpressive. However, to the credit of the gentleman handling our tasting, he did diverge a bit from their 'prefixed' samplings in an attempt to find us a wine we might enjoy.
