It was fairly warm out, but fortunately Hunter Mtn. had been able to make plenty of snow; conditions were very icy due to melting and refreezing, but that works to the advantage of tubers. My only complaints were that the... More

I planned a day trip here for snow tubing after doing a lot of research for the best place to go in the Albany area. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed. If Hunter is rated number one for tubing in NYS I can only imagine how horrific the other places are. I paid for two hour tubing for 2 people on... More

My husband and I went ziplining at Hunter Mountain while on our vacation to the Catskill Mountains in NY. This was a first for both of us and I have to say that even though it was my idea and this has been on my bucket list, I was scared to death. The website says that you should be in... More

My wife a I went to hunter for a two day getaway. We haven't had any snow down in Pa where we're from and were jones-in for some skiing. We didn't want to take the 5-7 hour drive up to Vermont so we decided to cut the drive time in half while still getting higher elevations. Hunter mountain was not... More

We hiked up from the Spruceton Trail side- the trail is wide with crushed stone- a fairly easy climb when compared to most of the Adirondack climbs. Don't miss the ledge near the John Robb lean-to on the way up, it afforded us some of the better views of the hike. The fire tower at the top is 75', we... More

What could be better than an authentic Octoberfest in August. German food, beer (and plenty of it), plus music under the tent. A great day for the family. Have gone every year for years!
