This place is truly in the middle of nowhere and nobody should think its a destination of any stripe. If you are headed to Cooperstown or Western NY anyway, this is a great detour for a couple of hours. Our tour guide was fantastic and spoke with incredible knowledge and passion about the story of this marvelous cave. The tour... More

An expensive, but amazing experience for children and adults! We've been to several caves and this one ranks at the top. If you're looking for a cave filled with stalagtite formations this isn't your cave, there are some, but it's more about the cave experience. Howe is unique in that it has an underground boat ride as part of the... More

Having been to Howes Cavern as a kid, it was fun to go back with my own children. Apparently, they sold off part of the area but the current explorable portion is still fun. Its an easy walk 150 feet under the ground. We went on April and crowds were low which is nice cause at times I lagged behind... More

Myself and my son along with his cub scout pack and their families visited your caverns for our very first time. It was a great experience for all of us and we really enjoyed ourselves. It was amazing to us all how much there is to see throughout the underground tour and also the rock mining building . We will... More

The staff was pleasant, accommodating and professional. A family friendly stroll through eons of geological wonder. Fascinating formations hidden in the hills of New York. It is easy to visit, easy to park and easy enter. A favorite place for my wife and grand kids.

It has been about 39 years since we were last here, when our kids were young. This trip, March 1st, there were 10 of us; our kids and grandkids, and all enjoyed to the max. Will probably return in the Spring to take advantage of the added outdoor attractions, which the kids would enjoy immensely. This is a must see... More

My husband and I went in February of 2014 and had a great time! It was the off season when we went so we had a private tour, just us and the tour guide, which was pretty cool. He led us on an excellent tour and was very personable. Good family fun!
