We went to Howe Caverns on Sept. 23, 2014 and had a great time! First of all, every employee was extremely welcoming and polite and friendly! The view from the main building is one of the most spectacular I have ever seen- and I just did a trip to Tuscany so that's saying a lot! The buildings and grounds are... More

This attraction has been in the backs of our minds for years, since seeing the billboard on the NY Thruway. It did not disappoint. From the moment you drive up, you can feel the wonder and awe that has been experienced by generations of wannabe spelunkers. There are a variety of other things to interest those not enamored by dark... More

So the guide at Natural Bridges in Virginia told us that Howe's cavern was the best. He was right. This was so much fun and the geology in the cave was interesting. worth the money.

Close to Hull-O Farms in Durham, NY where we stayed, this was a good excursion for a few hours. There is a lot of interesting history to this famous land-mark.

This was one of several stops, on a girls weekend getaway. The cavern tour was interesting. However we felt it was disappointing, also! While we stood in line for the boat ride, passersby sarcastically ranted about the "Awesome Waterfall"! Even though the brochure/Company states there is a waterfall, there isn't one! When you get to the end of the ride,... More

Thank you for your visit. You are correct, we do not have a waterfall. But, we do not advertise a waterfall. You may be confused with the numerous billboards near our property for Secret Caverns, which is another small cave up the road from us. They have a waterfall. Even though it may not feel like it when you are... More

I recently just came home from a beautiful upstate ny trip . Ended up going to Howes caves. It was fun . The tour takes about 1 hour. After 40 mins I wanted to get out. I was getting anxious. Haha. Just warning you. But overall it was interesting. Enjoy. :)

a beautiful piece of mother nature , that makes one feel very small. I had visited the cavern over 15 years ago, and I remembered it being fascinating back then but felt the tour was too long. as an adult I appreciated how it's natural beauty was awe inspiring . the guide was very informative, explained just how the cavern... We have been to many caverns and this is by far the best. Lots of great formations which the guide explains so even a non geologist can understand. Gorgeous rock from stalactites to stalagmites, flow stone, soda straws. ... they have it all! I suggest you take the time and go, even if you are not in the area, it... More
