Mexican cities all have their Plazas. Families go there to pass a pleasant evening outdoors, and couples go there to court. This is the main plaza in the historic center of the city. There are regular musical events, restaurants and vendors. If you don't hang out in a plaza, you've missed the real Mexico.

This is a fun spot to spend some time in. The colonial building surrounding the gardens set a nice scene. The fountain is a tribute to the aristocrat who brought water to the city with the aqueduct. The fun part is that he is accompanied by four hunting dogs spewing water. There are often staged musical performances here. On June... More

The plaza has a lot of activities and one can feel the ambiance of the city. It is best to go in the morning before noon in order to feel the tempo. Many statues of historical heroes of Mexico.

We were here when the NatGeo Photo Fest was in display, they've been all over the world and I have seen it in other cities but I was quite disappointed that they had it so small and the lines to get in was reeeeaaallliyyy long. Not the best plaza in the area, try the surroundings where the street performers put... More

Our trip to Queretaro started at Plaza de Armas. We enjoyed meeting my son and his friends there. We enjoyed eating at several of the restaurants on the Plaza. Our last night we enjoyed a Big Band concert sponsored by the Cultural Center. Loved this place, and would definitely hang out there again.

I probably spent more time here than almost anywhere else in Queretaro. Be it during the day or night I would sit in an outdoor cafe enjoying a latte, arranging the day, or chilling to some live music played everyday. The plaza has wi-fi, but depending where you sit it can be a little spotty.
