Plaza de Armas is a small and pretty plaza in Queretaro’s downtown. There are things going on pretty much every week, month at very least (small expos, music presentations, etc). The two restaurants that are at the farthest part of the plaza are great places to eat Mexican food (“1810” and “Chucho el Roto”). Besides “1810” restaurant, “Galeria Libertad” usually... More

Querétaro has more plazas than I have seen in Mexico. There was an expo hen i went there and later in the day the teachers were going to come to protest. We just passed through. There are nice builldings and fountains. Great place to have a coffee.

A lovely, clean plaza in the Centro Histórico de Querétaro. The fountain in the center features four dogs with water coming out of their mouths! Stop by for dinner or cocktails one evening and enjoy the music provided by the restaurant. Pick a restaurant that actually has people in it eating a meal or having a coffee, a cocktail, or... More

Ever since my first visit as a school kid in the late 60s, I was impressed by the beauty of this now famous Plaza. The well manicured tres lining the square invite you to go inside one of the several sidewalk bars and restaurants, or simply sit on a bench and watch the world go by

We went to the plaza in search of El Meson de Chucho Roto, a restaurant where we enjoyed a lovely Sunday brunch. Because of the rain, which we hadn't expected when we planned our trip, I didn't see much of the plaza. However, tomorrow it's supposed to clear up, and I expect to see this & more of all of... Very nice quaint plaza and people watch. There is free wifi - a plus! There are many restaurants to choose around. Stores in walking distance. There are gentlemen offering tours (mostly in Spanish only - hard pressed to find English tours). Good place to get your shoes shined and relax.
