This is a favorite gathering place for families. There are restaurants and bars alongside the Plaza with live music. On the weekends, there are often free concerts, and during the day on Saturday there is a farmer's market. It is great place to people watch, drink, dine and shop.

This place is good for people watching and sitting a spell. The gardens are lovely, and at night it is (while we were there) transformed into a more lively venue. The only reason it does not get an 'excellent' from me is the lack of truly good food options. That's fairly typical in Mexican central plazas, but it would be... More

Queretaro is one of the most pleasant cities to know in Mexico by walking. Plaza de Armas is very central and is full of attractions, mainly at night, like mariachis, people dancing. There's also many restaurants around the Plaza. You need to do this by walking. In each quarter, Queretaro show a new beauty. A very nice and very recommended... More

we love to sit at the Cafe Marron and watch life pass in this exquisite square. Where else would you see a fountain with statues of dogs spouting water!

Queretaro has many plazas but this is definitely one of the most lively. It was bustling at all hours with people wandering through the park in the center and sitting near the dog fountain. Great restaurants line this plaza as well.

I like the atmosphere of the place the green trees around it and the churches! Lots of places to eat and art to see, a bit hot during the summer time

This plaza and everything around are just beautiful. It's a good option to walk around the streets and find your own way. At every side you will find the beautiful architecture preserved, esculptures, and fountains decorate the historic downtown.

Also known as the Plaza de la Independencia, this square is one of the most notable in Querétaro for its location and historical interest. The Palacio de Gobierno on the north side of the plaza is the ceremonial office of the Governor of Querétaro State and he initiates the festivities of Mexican independence from its balcony on the night of...
