Plaza de Armas, along with the numerous other plazas in Queretaro, is a nice colonial square lined with shops, restaurants with outdoor seating, fountains, and historic buildings. The historic centro of Queretaro is a great place to walk around leisurely, looking at colonial buildings and soaking in the great atmosphere and terrific climate. Try and walk around the downtown area in the late afternoon and early evening. There are wonderful shops and restaurants. It is very romantic and colonial.

Located in downtown Queretaro this is the main city plaza, you'll find countless restaurants and many historic locales from the 18th century.
Here are some important monuments, the "Palacio de la Coregidora" and the monumento to Juan Antonio de Urrutia y Arana to name some.
This is a must place to visit in Queretaro, you'll have a great time.

This plaza is small but interesting. Good restaurants and stores surround the plaza and nearby. I love the little ice cream shop on 5 de Mayo.

Lots of restaurant, wonderful old buildings, a perfect place to people watch. The most important thing, the city is VERY SAFE.

Many restaurants around it to enjoy staying longer there. On each side of the plaza there are monuments or old hacienda transformed in hotel to visit.
