Very enjoyable and informative trip even in the rain. Especially enjoyed going through the lock. Our captain was very informative and we thoroughly enjoyed our cruise.

This was a wonderful and learning experience of the Erie Canal form its beginning to its present day use. Best use of 90 minutes while on the tour.

The tour guide was good. By far the high point was seeing the lock in action. I had heard about them but this was the first time I saw one in action. That alone made it worthwhile. I would have liked a little more information about the area that you were traveling through but it was great trip.

The Cruise on the canal was accompanied by both live and taped narratives which told all about the history of the Canal. The trip though the lock was fascinating.

What a wonderful afternoon cruise! We (7yo and 12 yo nieces and 90 yo mom and me at 64 yo) visiting with my sister, her husband, and 2 kids (11 yo and 14 yo). When my 12 yo niece stated she didn't know what a "lock" was my sister suggested this cruise. What fun we all had! Our Captain was... More

July 2014 ~ I (Dorothy O) put this event together by phone from New Mexico with the help of Sue (from the Restaurant) and J.J. (from Cruise Booking) - both were extremely helpful and professional in assisting me in arranging this event, and I felt like I was meeting "old friends" on the day my husband and I arrived in... We went with a groupon. No troubles at all getting the day we wanted to go. Interesting narrative on the 2 1/2 hour ride east on the canal to a lock, through and back. The captain was great. Kids and adults could "drive", if they wanted to! The staff were knowledgable and attentive. The captain truely enjoyed people, the canal... More

This was a great experience on the historic Erie Canal. We were lucky to have a perfect day. Captain Jerry was fun and informative. The highlight was cruising back and forth through Lock 18. We found a good location on the upper level at the front, next to the captain's station, but the views were good anywhere. We are local... More

This narrated trip on a section of the Erie Canal, including a ride through one it's locks, was fun, informative and relaxing. Captain John was a great storyteller. He really loves the canal and wants to share it with others. And when you're off the boat be sure to check out nearby other sites along the canal. It's a lovely... More

We went Cruisin with Capt'n Jerry and his wonderful Crew today and had a marvelous time. Capt'n Jerry gave a wonderful narration about the history of the Erie - Barge Canal. We drove all the way from Canandaigua and Rochester to take the cruise and we weren't disappointed.
