What a great way to spend 90 minutes cruising down the erie canal on a fall day. Our captain was friendly and full of info on the canal. We particularly enjoyed entering the lock. After the cruise there is a gift shop and a restaurant on the premises. More

Make reservations. We almost didn't make the trip but lucked out and got on. Very nice ride, interesting facts and fun Captain. Kids loved operating the boat. Parking was plenty. Take a fishing rod for afterwards. Canal has lots of fish in it. More

The Erie Canal tour through Lock 18 was an awesome educational experience, really giving you a hands-on lesson on how the locks operate. Captain Jerry and his crew were entertaining and very knowledgeable not only about the lock itself but the entire Erie Canal Waterway system. I would definitely recommend this tour as a must see!!
