My husband and I visited here on a day tour of Keuka Lake wineries. Our wine host was very knowledgable and gave us a good introduction to the Ravines wines. We left with a Meritage and a Chardonnay. As we made our purchase, I noticed a paperback book I had read about when I was researching the area--Summer in a... More

Ravine Winery is one of, if not, the best winery in all of NY. The head wine maker has worked world-wide, including Chateau Cos d'Estournel, a Grand Cru Classe Bordeaux. Their Meritage is the best in NY and better than 99% of CA Meritage. I can't say enough good thing about this winery. If your taste is more toward whites,... More

A wine store recommended this winery to us, especially since it was on the top wineries in the world and had a great Cabernet Franc (but it was ok to me, perhaps because we are not fans of cab-francs). We decided to do the cheese/chocolate wine pairing...which was $6 each. I thought the chocolate pairing was not great and the... More

We love their wines. Ravines Dry Riesling my be the best in FLX. Their Pinot Nior is usually top notch as well (has been the two years we have visited). The tasting room on Keuka is OK, nice view but can get busy on a weekend. Ravines has two locations and we have been to both. The Lake Seneca location... More

Nice red wines in an area known for whites. Our tasting host was fun, and was quite generous with the samples. Great local chocolate and cheese as well as wine. Definitely worth a stop.

You can purchase a sample pairing plate that is very nicely presented, and the staff will help you map the specific items to pair with each wine. The facility is an old historic dairy barn, and just incredible itself.

We very much enjoyed our visit to Ravines. While these were not the best rieslings we tasted in the Finger Lakes, they were very good, and they easily had the best Cabernet Franc that we tasted in the area. The server who helped us was very personable and knowledgeable about the local wines and history of the area. They have... More

We visited quite a few wineries while in the finger lakes. We particular liked this one because they were very friendly, took their time with us at the tasting, and were very knowledgeable. They did not hurry us thru or try to sell us on any particular wines.

These wines are the best on Keuka. Also, the pourers are knowledgeable and friendly. Wines are made with a European sensibility and are hard to find elsewhere.
