This winery boasts a history of innovation in the industry, so I wanted to check out its offerings. The list is extensive, from inexpensive wines made from grapes purchased from other sources to estate bottlings. I like dry reds, did not find any whites to buy but that is my taste and not a criticism. There are many food products... More

Free tastings great wine and the folks who work there are the best. Loved this winery more than any other in the area. Not that others are bad, but this was number 1 on my list.

We had heard a lot about Dr. Frank's wines, and wanted to visit the winery. It was a bit off the beaten path, and the employees acted like they really didn't want to be bothered with visitors. Hence, we were not visitors for long.

We apologize that you were not made to feel welcome. This is never a good thing to hear. This is contradictory to the intensive training each of our staff members has undergone with regards to making customers feel welcome. While this is not an excuse, I believe you visited on the day of our annual Wine Club picnic a day... More

My husband's favorite winery so far. He loves dry red wine. I like sweeter wine so find that their ice wine is my favorite. The staff are very knowledgeable and very happy to answer all questions about the grapes and the history of the winery which was very interesting. We go back nearly every year.

No fee for tasting 6 wines. We were very fortunate to have Susan (a long time employee) do our tasting. She explained each wine and if it was a blend, she told us about each varietal that made up the blend. She also explained the history of the winery, and that this particular winery has 6 different wine makers.. They... More

What a variety of wine. Simply the best. Dr. Frank brought European vines and planted them here. We had an awesome english woman give us the tasting (sorry forgot her name). She was a wealth of knowledge and passionate about wine. Great wine. Great experience.

Visited Dr. Konstantin's during a recent stay in the Finger Lakes. What beautiful views and good wine. Loved our attendant who was very knowledgeable and gave recommendations.

We visited the winery travelling between Rochester and Corning, NY, because (1) we like the dry riesling from this winery (bought some) and to tour the Finger Lakes region, and to spend a little time in Hammondsport, a splendid and seemingly very well-run town. The winery does not offer tours, and when I asked about it got only a bored... More

So glad you enjoy our Dry Riesling and made the trip to visit us. Sorry for your disappointment in not being able to do a tour of our winery. Due to the historic nature and age of our facilities, we do not allow the general public behind the scenes at this time. We let you instead experience all the "magic"... More

According to the locals Dr. Frank was one of the original if not the first winery that began the Finger Lakes Wine Region. We had an enjoyable experience here. George handles our tasting and was delightful. He took his time to explain each wine and was more than knowledgeable regarding the region. I think Dr. Frank is the only wine... More

Dr. Konstantin Frank was a pioneer in planting European wine varietals in the Finger Lakes. Happily, his efforts sparked the industry in the region, and we can enjoy the continued success of this winery. The place has stunning Keuka Lake and countryside views, a large deck with a wine bar, plenty of seating, and large indoor tasting areas where the... More
