Nice tasting room experience, beautiful views, friendly staff. Wines are well balanced and delicious. Easily one of the top in the area. The wines are priced competitively and there is no fee for tasting. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a delicious Finger Lakes Riesling!

This was the only winery that did not charge for tastings (of the 28 that we visited that week). They control the number of people tasting - so we had to wait a few minutes before going in. But they do a very nice job and pour a very healthy taste. And I think they would let you taste everything... More

A little pricier than other wineries in the area. Beautiful views, friendly, helpful staff. The selection of wines were less than other wineries. Gourmet food selections for purchase was abundant

We visit and buy from Dr. Frank yearly and are never disappointed. The rieslings are crisp and acidic enough to go with all foods actually. The vineyard itself is beautiful and the tastings offer a wide selection of their production. In recent years we have become devotees of their Rose. Try it.

The wines here were pretty good, but pricier than others in the area. The part I didn't like was that tastings were done in groups, so you had to wait for a spot, and then it moved pretty slowly. I understand the need for grouped tastings, since the place was absolutely packed, but my friend and I tend to taste... More

This is probably the best known winery in the area and one of the first. The tasting is free which was a nice change from the others we went to. In addition the selection of wines poured was the largest of all we went to. Each pour paired two different wines of the same type to compare. The server was... More

Dr. Frank's riesling is nationally known and admired, but the winery also has a wider assortment of good choices. Our hostess was knowledgeable and pleasant and there was actually no charge for tasting the wine!!! We left with a case of good bottles and will enjoy the results of the experience over a series of dinners this autumn.

My boyfriend and I are in our late twenties. We recently tasted at 3 wineries in the Hammondsport area, and we enjoyed our visit to Dr. Frank's. We were surprised that the tasting was complimentary, a nice touch. The woman that did our tasting was very enthusiastic and knowledgable. She made it fun to taste the different types. We really...
