This pioneer as a wine growing and wine producer from 1962 continues to excel across the board today. My wife and I were traveling north and stopped their recently to get reacquainted with their wines. The tasting room was very crowded with many waiting to enter to taste. Once inside we tasted a range of exceptional wines from Sparkling to... More

Visited this winery for the first time during a trip to the Finger Lakes with 3 other couples and enjoyed this winery immensely. We are all members of a local wine club, are wine affecianados and collectors too. Dr. Frank's winery is the most highly rated (Winespectator ratings) winery in the Finger Lakes and well worth the visit. Their Rieslings... More

Didn't find a sweet wine I liked here. Grounds not overly exciting. Liked Bully Hill better. The place was a little dry.

This vineyard near Lake Keuka had excellent reds and wonderful Rieslings. Specifically, their dry Riesling was amazing, while their semi-dry was very good (although sweet). There are not established times for tasting, so as soon as you come in you get service. The FREE tasting flight covers 5 wines from a robust list and our guy (Sean) allowed us to... More

Lots of history here - and success hasn't ruined this outstanding winery. There is an undeniable authenticity to the generational stories your host will most likely share - and the combination of deep-rooted history and younger generation influence should keep this operation at the top of the Finger Lakes wine scene for a long time to come. Stunning location, expansive... More

This is a must see since Dr Frank started the winery madness in the Finger Lakes region. Thank you Dr Frank! Their wines are great but I felt they were a little too impressed with themselves and honestly preferred Keuka Springs Vineyard.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The wines are the best in the area. Samples were adequate size.

We didn't choose the outside tasting bar as it was a bit chilly but even inside the view was exceptional overlooking the lake. All the wines we tried (dry) were very good and we enjoyed our tasting attendant. This winery offers a no charge tasting even if you didn't purchase the wine passport.

Ok ok ok that may be an opinion but it's my opinion. Note: It is a free tasting! The first time we tasted at Doctor Frank's 19 years ago we were astounded. Every wine we tried was excellent. Nothing has changed in that respect. We tried a large variety and all were top notch! We walked out with a lot... More

The staff at Dr. Frank's were absolutely awesome to our group! I fell in love with several wines there and left with more wine than I want to admit. The view is absolutely spectacular! A special thanks to Penny from the Vagabond Inn for setting up our tour!
